Emmanuel, get up, go make yourself and Samuel what to eat in the kitchen while I call the police, said senior Daniel to Emmanuel who sluggishly stand up and headed to the kitchen.
I was still on the sofa when senior Daniel ask me if I’ve seen where my mom’s phone was. I just stood up without a word and move toward the place the phone was plugged. I unplugged it took it and handed him over the phone which he quickly dialed the emergency number. He was still on the phone giving all the necessary information including our address while I moved toward the door to close it.
On getting to the door, I stepped on a phone which must have fallen from one of the killers who kill our parent. I quickly picked it up and shut the door then go to assist Emmanuel in the kitchen.
The police arrived about a hour later with an ambulance. Our parent corpse were taken away after questioningWhich senior Daniel was the one answering all the questions
Emmanuel and I were done eating and the time was already late so we just go to our room leaving senior Daniel alone in the sitting room who was trying to clean the blood stains on the floor.
I laid on the bed forcing myself to sleep but sleep was far away from me . I just laid on the rolling from one side of the bed to the other when suddenly the memory of what happened few hours ago flashed back and my mood suddenly change and I just remembered the phone I pick from the sitting room when I wanted to shut the door.
I brought out the phone to check if there’s anything I can get from it concerning the people that murdered my parent but the battery was down. So I decided to go get my mom’s charger from the sitting room.
On getting to the sitting room I saw my brother, senior Daniel sleeping on the sofa so I decided to go get his blanket from his room. I rushed to his room, picked his blanket and go back to the sitting room and covered him with it , I could still see wet tears on his cheek which shows that he was crying till he fell asleep.
I move to where the charger was, I unplugged it and also took my mom’s phone that was one the glass table then back to my room. I charged the phone for some minutes before I switched one. Thanks to God the phone security was “slide to unlock”, I open the home screen of the phone and the picture of the man I saw looks like someone I’ve seen with my uncle.
I decided to check someone of the contact and come across a number with the name”sir Edward”. I quickly checked my uncle’s number in my mum’s phone to confirm if it was my uncle number and to was his number.
I begin to wonder what my uncle number was doing in this man phone then I decided to check the message and I saw a text from my uncle which read” kill my brother and his wife only, don’t touch the children because one of the has all the information about by brother’s property and remember leave no trace”.
