Kilunda was breathing heavily as the vehicle roared through the abandoned highway in the middle of a large forest
“Please keep calm,we are almost there” Linda told him.
His leg was already clothed but it had lost so much blood that it looked very pale and weak.
The driver was driving at a break neck speed and within thirty minutes they were already in town.A journey that would have lasted for more than two hours
He branched through the hospital gate like a mad man, luckily the gate was open.The screeching of the tyres when he applied the brakes caught everyone’s attention in the hospital
“What is wrong with you young man? Don’t you know this is a hospital?” one of the two watchmen yelled while running towards the car that was now parked at the parking lot
“Sir help! help! we have an emergency” the driver told the watchman who was running where the car was.At first he thought this was a security issue but as soon as he saw Kilunda he opened the back door immediately and offered a hand of help to the injured man
Kilunda’s arms laid on the driver and watchman’s shoulder as they moved into the hospital,the nurses who saw the man being carried rushed in and came back with a trolley
Kilunda was laid into the bed and rushed into the Icu chamber since he was in a very critical condition
“Thank you so much sir,I don’t know How I can repay you,you can have these” Linda said opening her handbag.She was about to remove a bundle of notes that was wrapped when the young man held her arms and told her that she didn’t have to pay her
“Who is this man to you?” The man asked,he was curious to know how the two were related and what they were doing in the middle of the forest
“He is my husband sir and we had gone into the forest for family camping to strengthen our relationship but then what happened, happened”
“I am so sorry about what happened,you may keep your money for the treatment,you can also take this for your transport back home” The man said and removed his wallet from his pocket then handed one thousand note to Linda
“Thank you so much,may you be blessed with much” she told the man
“By the way I am Kim,it was nice knowing you” the man said stretching his hands so that they could both shake each other’s hands
“I am Linda but you can call me mrs Kilunda and I must say it was a pleasure meeting you.You are indeed a good man with a good heart,all I can say is ‘asante sana’ ” she replied letting out a smile that would melt a man’s heart
“Okay I must get back to work,have a nice day” he said and walked out of the building
Linda was still seated at the wooden bench, staring at the man as he walked out
Kim got into the car and started the engine.He stormed out of the compound.His backseat vehicle was full of blood and it let out a stench that would obviously chase any customer away so he had to pass through the car wash to clean the vehicle before he could continue with his daily activities
The two watchmen stared at the vehicle as it left the premises and hit the busy road
“This people go kill me ooh,You are lucky you didn’t see the poor man’s leg,it was as if it was rotting,blood stained all over it.The stench that emanated from it was very bad that I can’t get it off my Norse anymore” the watchman who had helped Kim carry Kilunda told the other one
James was still at work when suddenly his secretary bumped into his office saying that it was an emergency
“Sir a lady just called, saying that she urgently wanted to speak with you” the fair lady of mid twenties told the young man
James had gotten himself a job in one of the companies that was based majorly in assembling of cars.He had been employed as the manager of the company and was earning huge amounts of salary
“Lydia please transfer the call over” James told the secretary who left the office and carefully closed the door
“Yes this is James the manager of Gluk Motors company how may I be of help to you?” James said immediately he received the call
“James it is Linda,I am sorry that I ghosted you for those many months but I really need your help” she said crying
“What? How are you even alive?” James said looking surprised, ” Where are you right now?”
“I am at Baze three Level four hospital,we had an emergency”
“Stay right there I am coming right away” James said and rushed out of the office,took his black SUV and drove out of the compound at a break neck speed.
