“Detective I have told you several times that I never saw anything that pounced on me that night” James said he was lying on the bed facing the tall man
“Well we have a reason to believe both your wife and your daughter are behind your attack” the detective said
The detective words came like a bombshell to James ears.
“No,I don’t think so,I know my wife and my child too, that thing that pounced on me that night was a monster.The two are not monsters”
“okay but I want you to tell us about their whereabouts if you may have any idea”
James didn’t have any slight idea of where her wife might have disappeared to.He just told the detective that he didn’t know where she might have gone but one thing that he was sure of was that the two had nothing to do with this
“Okey thank you for your cooperation,we hope to find justice for you sir” the detective said and walked away from the ward
Back at Kilunda’s place,Linda was busy doing the house chores, Kilunda’s medicine was working very well.Linda had been turned to a house wife
She couldn’t even remember anything to do with James her husband, to her she was nobody
Kilunda was in the house with her witch child,they were having a hitted conversation on whether or not to initiate the mother into their crazy cult
“I don’t think that is a good idea dad,let us keep her out of this” Elsa said
after so much thinking Kilunda reasoned with her daughter.It was safe for her to know nothing about what was going on
Linda and Elsa disappearance became a very hard mystery to solve since a month later nobody had heard or seen them
News had spread all over and even a bounty had been placed for whoever could see any of them but nothing
James had stayed at the hospital for all of that month,he was better now but he had to move around with a wheelchair as he couldn’t move for long distances by himself,this was very hard for him bearing the fact that he had no one to help him back at home
The first one week at home was very hard for him to adapt but after a few more days he had started to cop up with his situation
He could even prepare food for his visitors who oftenly travelled over to pay him a visit
This Sunday,two weeks after he had been released from the hospital his fellow church members decided to pay him a visit
His neighbours came over to help him do the house chores and prepare delicacies ready for the guests
At around two pm the visitors led by Father Job started arriving,they were warmly welcomed.The visitors had lunch before they started service at home
“James we pray for you to take heart during this hard times the Lord will surely strengthen you” those were the father’s words,he said and then stretched his hands to bless James as he said a word of prayer
“Lord we come before you today,with humility as we bless our brother.May your spirit of healing heal him from his scars and may you watch over his wife and daughter wherever they are so that they would come back home,Amen”
When he was done he told the twenty or so people who were seated under the mango tree that was in the compound to stand up so that they would have a praise song
The people danced and sang in jubilation to the chorus that the father was singing.When they were done,the father started with a small sermon.A sermon that was based majorly on hope among christians
Later that evening they gave James some gifts that they had managed to buy for him.
Kilunda had been using Linda for everything that he needed.The woman was like a slave.He would oftenly beat her for nothing but Linda never dared to step out of the compound or even escape and she couldn’t understand why.
It was also in Kilunda’s mind that he should initiate her to his cult without Elsa’s consent as she was against it at all odds.
That same Sunday father had paid James a visit, Kilunda was also planning more evil on Linda.
“No tonight I will initiate her without Elsa knowing” Kilunda said.
