ANDREW MANSION**
Andrew sat in the parlour watching a movie while stuffing his mouth with popcorn.
But then he kept seeing Maureen face, even on the Tv he is seeing her face
“What is happening to me, why am I seeing her face everywhere, not like I am close to her” He groaned.
He felt the urge to see her again and this time it came so strong.
“Andrew, you are going crazy” He said standing.
He went to the bedroom to sleep but it even got more worse
“I might go crazy at this rate” He said and came down from the bed.
His phone started ringing immediately
He answered it quickly
“Bastard, I was waiting for your call” Andrew said.
“I am sorry man, I was busy all day without getting a slight chance” Jason said.
” How is Texas? ” Andrew asked.
“Cool, how is Maureen?” Jason asked.
“She woke up today” Andrew replied and Jason shouted happily on the phone.
“Hey fool, I still love my ears”.
“I will be coming back tomorrow” Jason said.
“Romantic boyfriend” Andrew teased.
“Idiot, so you didn’t miss you?”.
“Why will I miss a jerk like you” Andrew replied.
“Get off my phone” Jason said disconnecting the call.
Andrew smiled pocketing his phone, he grabbed the keys on the table and walked out.
He got to the hospital after some minutes.
The nurses started greeting him, he nod as he pass.
He came across Roland.
“Sir” Roland said surprisingly.
“Why are you surprise to see me?” Andrew asked.
“I.. I didn’t expect to see you here” Roland replied.
” I can come here anytime I want, you look like you just fck a pssy” He said walking away.
” How did he know?” Roland asked himself before walking away.
Andrew enters Maureen ward and saw her on the bed, she is awake pressing her phone.
Maureen smiled and dropped her phone immediately she saw him walk in.
“Doc” She called.
“Maureen” He replied.
“You’re still awake?”.
She nodded.
“I don’t feel any sleep coming, you why didn’t you go home?” She asked
” Same here, I can’t sleep” He replied.
” Can you switch on the light, I don’t like this dim light” She said.
“Okay”.
Andrew went to the control switch and turned on the lights.
“Better” .
Andrew walked back to the bed and adjusted the chair sitting on it.
He looked into her eyes and suddenly looked away.
“Is she growing prettier every minute?” He asked silently but to the hearing of Maureen.
“I am pretty?” She asked.
“Huh?”.
“I heard you, you said I am pretty” She replied.
“Erm.. it.. wasn’t you.. I was referring to another person” He stammered.
” When did you start stammering, you were speaking normal some minutes again” She said teasing him.
She clearly heard what he said.
” Yeah.. I do stammer some times” He replied.
” So do you find me pretty?”.
” Why is she asking me that?”.
” Jason is coming back tomorrow” He said.
” Are you trying to avoid my question?” She asked.
” Gosh someone should save me from this lady”.
Just as if God answered his prayer, his phone started ringing.
He answered the call and stood, walking out.
” He is so cute, did he have a girlfriend?, do I need to ask a handsome guy like him can’t be single” She said pouting.
Andrew return after some minutes.
“I thought you left” She said.
“I didn’t I was only making a call” He replied and sat down.
“Talking with your girlfriend?”.
Andrew started laughing, he stopped laughing and stared at her before looking away.
There’s this sparkle in her eyes that always made his heart to flutter, it’s too much for him to behold.
“I don’t have a girlfriend” He replied.
A smile fell on Maureen lips and the reason for the smile was something she couldn’t understand, why would she be happy that he didn’t have a girlfriend.
“Really?” She asked.
“Yes and I don’t think I will ever have one”.
“Huh! why did you say that?” She asked.
” There’s nothing like love” He replied.
“Why did you say that?”.
” You won’t understand” He replied.
“If you don’t want to talk about it I understand, thank you for spending time with me”.
” If you need anything just tell the nurses” He said and she nodded.
He looked at his face and his heart start the usual fluttering.
He didn’t know when he went closer to her and kissed her forehead.
” Good night” he said walking out.
“He kissed my forehead awnn” Maureen gushed.
She tried to threw her legs in the air but the pains in her stomach made her to behave.
“Good night cutie”.
She muttered closing her eyes.
