Femi: tell me, you are joking
Kunbi: come on, I am not joking. I mean everything I said
Femi: (feeling teary) Babeeeee
Kunbi: Guess what? She rededicated her life back to God
Femi: oh my God!
Kunbi: You know, the Holy Spirit told me to let go, it wasn’t easy but I think it’s the best decision
Femi: (stopped eating) What did I do to deserve such a sweet soul like you? Your coming into my life is a sign that God loves me even more than I think. Babe, you are a better Christian than I am
Kunbi: come on, you are a good man and I am glad you are my husband
Femi: Do you think so? What about all I brought upon us?
Kunbi: it’s okay dear, eat up and come to Mama
Femi: oh my G, that’s the kind of thing I want to hear
Kunbi: hmmm, Pastor Femi of the highest God
Femi: Abeg, Pastor Femi is a man ooooh
Femi and Kunbi were in the sitting room watching a movie on a Saturday evening when they had a knock on the door. Femi went to get the door and surprisingly, Joe and Tanimola were at the door. Femi ushered them in after they exchanged pleasantries. Immediately Kunbi saw Tanimola, she stood and embraced her.
Joe appreciated Kunbi for her selfless act and her forgiving spirit, he went ahead to tell the couple that Tanimola had come back to God and had become passionate about His work.
Joe informed the couple that they would be getting married in a couple of months and then serve God together. Tanimola promised Kunbi that she will never go back from following God because there is no happiness outside God. Femi couldn’t stop weeping silently, he still couldn’t believe this was happening, he was happy that Tanimola finally found someone to love and cherish her.
He asked for her forgiveness once again and promise to take care of the food and drinks during their wedding. Kunbi promised to get Tanimola all her bridal accessories. At that point, Tanimola couldn’t ask God for more. She told herself that there is absolutely nothing like forgiveness.
Tanimola’s traditional wedding happened three months later and it was such a beautiful moment, Femi watched as Tanimola became a legal wife and his joy was truly full. He made up his mind to teach his sons about the danger of molesting a female child.
Kunbi was truly happy at the turn of things, she was indeed happy for Tanimola, her dad’s brother and wife took up the role of her parent and everything went on well. Just as God promised her, Femi received a call-up letter to come and pastor a church in the United States, at first, Femi was afraid, he was satisfied with being a normal church member but Kunbi encouraged him as she was ready to be his backbone and intercessor.
Femi and his family traveled to the United States to resume his office as the pastor of a church. He looked back at everything that happened and all he understood was that a past that is not well handled can ruin one’s beautiful future. He then decided to always teach the young ones the dangers of living life anyhow. Another promise he made to himself was that he would forever cherish his wife because only a special woman could fight life battles with a man.
The couple’s love waxed stronger and together, they continued to wage war against the kingdom of darkness.
