Juliet and Joe both went to the police station to see Tamar, Joe couldn’t stop crying when he saw the state she was in, Tamar’s body had been disfigured with torture. Joe had to plead with the DPO so that Tamar won’t be tortured, he explained to him that she was pregnant with his child, and if the torture continue, Tamar might lose the pregnancy. After giving the DPO some amount of money, the DPO told his junior officers to stop torturing her. The DPO then advised him to see the owner of the case and plead with him to let go of the case.
Juliet and Joe then decided to go plead with Femi to forgive Tamar. Juliet took the lead and luckily for them, they met Femi at home. Femi was cuddling his wife to sleep when his mother informed him that he had some visitors. He left his wife with his mother and then went to attend to the visitors. Getting to the sitting room, he met a man and a woman who introduced themselves to be Tamar’s boyfriend and best friend respectively.
Joe pleaded with Femi to forgive Tamar and let sleeping dogs lie, he promised Femi that Tamar would sign an undertaking that she would never come near anything that has to do with them. Femi appreciated the duo and promised to talk to his wife because she was the victim of Tamar’s wickedness. Joe and Femi exchanged contact with the promise that Femi will get back to Joe.
When Juliet and Joe left, Femi was at a a loss at how he would present the issue to his wife because he knows she would have none of it. Left to him, he was ready to let go because he knows he was the cause of all that was happening. That night, Femi couldn’t sleep, he tried to wake his wife to discuss but he was afraid. Later on, he summoned courage and woke her up.
Femi: Babe, I just want to discuss with you, please
Kunbi: (yawning) Is everything alright? Why are you not sleeping?
Femi: Babe, I need a huge favor from you. Can you do it for me?
Kunbi: huge favor?? What is it? Femi, you are scaring me ooooh
Femi: (went on his knees) My wife, the woman my heart beats for, the mother of my children, the woman who always overlooks my weaknesses
Kunbi: my husband, what do you want from me?
Femi: please, let’s forgive Tamar and let sleeping dogs lie
Kunbi: are you okay at all?? Wait, are you in your right senses? You are telling me to let Tamar go, you are asking me to let a criminal go scot-free. What kind of a father are you? Do you want to let a woman who almost killed your children go scot-free? This will never happen and if you try to do this at my back, Femi, you will regret ever knowing me.
With that, Kunbi went to bed leaving Femi on his knees. He knew what would be his wife’s reaction would be. At that point, he was loss at what to do, he laid on the floor crying and praying to God for divine intervention. He knew he won’t be able to survive the fact that Tamar end up in the prison. He cried and prayed till he slept off.
All through the following day, Kunbi was just murmuring, she refused to reply to her husband’s greeting or even interact with him.
