π«π The Other Woman Episode FIVE:
Nkem was with Mandy in the adjoining room in the suite she had got for the purpose, and she was having a hard time sitting still as she continued to hear her husband screΓ ming in pleasure while he made love to Farida.
βWe shouldnβt have stayed back Nkem, I told you it wasnβt a good idea, but you insisted in staying to be sure he did itβ Mandy said, seeing how Nkem kept hugging herself with tears flowing down her pretty face
βI’m fine, believe me, itβs okayβ Nkem said, trying to sound brave, but her voice was bearing the pain of a woman who knew her husband was behind a door, making love to someone else, just because she hadnβt been able to conceive.
Mandy tried to engage her in conversations to keep her kind off the unbearable screΓ ms and moΓ ns that were coming from the room, but Nkem wasnβt hearing her friend.
She was listening to every word her husband told Farida, and every time he reached the peak of his ecstasy, she noted with shock, how he was able to restart almost immediately.
βI know Iβm a terrible wife to have set my husband up in this manner, but what type of woman sits in a room next door to another and listen to her twenty year old daughter get devoured by a man old enough to be his father?β Nkem wondered, thinking about how sheβd have protected her own daughter, if she had one.
She heard snores at some point and realized Mandy had slept off after trying to chat her up without success.
Joe seemed to have slept also, because Nkem could hear him snoring loudly behind the door, but Farida was sobbing.
βThis girl must really love her boyfriend so much, but had to do this because of the money involved.
βWhat I donβt understand though is how her mother was able to convince her to do this when itβll certainly spoil her chances of ever getting her together forever with the one she lovesβ Nkem thought, tossing on the bed restlessly.
Joe was feeling very strange as he struggled to collect his senses the next morning when he woke up in a strange room.
βWhere am I?β he tried to remember, but a terrible headache hit him, making him shut his eyes in despair.
He could smell a feminine perfume that wasnβt his wifeβs, and it gave him the chills as his subconsciousness began to gather and recollect figments of images from the night of passion he had just had.
βNo no no! This canβt be happening, Farida?β he screΓ med and opened his eyes to find her weeping bitterly by his sides.
βDid I? Farida, did I do it?β he asked, hoping to get a no, even when the little flashes he got already, had told him he did.
Farida looked up at him, then began to look at the bed and the duvet that covered them both like a couple on a honeymoon.
Realization hit him, and he got up hurriedly to get dressed but the poor girl was crying bitterly, so sorrowfully that he didnβt know when he went back to the bed and held her to himself.
βLook Farida, I donβt know why I did what I did but I can tell you that I wasnβt in control of myself.
βI really do not know how you got in here when my wife and I had planned to pass the night here, but you can be sure that Iβll never behave so uncomely around you again.
βIβm truly sorry for this, and Iβll be willing to make it up to you in any way that you may chooseβ Joe was saying when he heard a loud bang on the door
βThat must be my wifeβ he thought in panic, wondering what he was going to do, but opened the door all the same.
He was shocked to see Mandy looking at him Γ ngrily, and his wife looking so worn out and a shadow of herself.
βSo Nkem, I allowed my daughter to be with you for a few hours, and you allowed your husband keep her for the night?β Mandy asked, looking at her daughter, who was still crying.
βItβs not like that Mandy. I got this suite because I wanted to spend some time with my husband.
βAnd I asked you to allow your daughter be with me because I wanted someone to help me organize the surprise birthday party I wanted to put up for him tomorrow.
βThe plan was to have Farida pass the night in the other room, but I donβt know what happened.
βI think my husband and I had too much to drink, and by the time I returned from getting the stuff I ordered for, Farida was in the room with my husband.
βI tried to get in, but I guess I too was too drunk to care that I was hearing my husband howling as he made love to herβ Nkem explained, playing out Mandyβs script.
βOh I see! So Joe, in spite of the fact that we have been family friends for so long, in spite of the fact that you know she could get pregnant from this kind of recklessness, you chose to do this?β Mandy asked, looking so heartbroken.
βIβm sorry Mandy. You know me, Iβve never been like this. I donβt really know what came over me.
βPlease forgive me, and let’s have this unfortunate incident remain between us. Itβll be a shame if words got out that something of this nature happened.
βI promise to do whatever I can, to make it up to both of youβ Joe told Mandy, looking at Farida who never stopped crying.
βJust pray she doesnβt get pregnant Joe. Pray my daughter doesnβt get pregnant because you refused to control your urge to bed a girl as little as Farida.
βBecause if she gets pregnant, and you ruin her chances of getting married to her fiancΓ©, then you will have to marry herβ Mandy said before she pulled her daughter out of the room, and out of the hotel, wondering why Farida kept crying, even after they had left the hotel.
Joe stood looking at his wife in shame and confusion. A part of him told him his wife had intentionally let him get drunk and made him sleep with Farida, just as she had asked him to do before.
But he was feeling so ashamed that he had actually slept with the little girl, while his wife listened.
He was confused though, because the sadness in her eyes seemed to make him want to believe that she may have truly brought him to the hotel for a surprise party, only for him to spend the entire night, making love to a little girl.
The surprise birthday party didnβt hold again, neither did the joy and peace the couple shared remain with them after that night.
Nkem had become so withdrawn and even though Joe was doing everything possible to ensure she didnβt imagine that he was having anything to do with Martha, the wife his mother had brought for him, by ensuring he stayed in their room every night, Nkem couldnβt see herself allowing him make love to her again.
βNkem, Iβve told you that Iβm sorry! Itβs been over two weeks since that unfortunate incident, but you still wonβt allow me touch you.
βI should have fought to reign my urge under control, but I failed to do what I had to do, and I’m sorry. It’s hard to forget it, but my love, are you going to throw the baby away with the bath water?
βPlease forgive me. Iβve been missing you so much and I want you. Please baby!β he begged, kneeling besides her.
Nkem was feeling very guilty. She knew what she did and how her husband ended up doing what he did, but she was finding it difficult to have him again, because remembering how much he had enjoyed making love to Farida, made her feel sheβd never be able to give him satisfaction agajn.
Plus, she was tired of all the trial by error. “What was the use of having sΓ¨x anyways, if it wasnβt going to be fruitful?” She thought
She had allowed Jackie take her to the doctor she said wanted to examine her, and as always, the doctor told her she was very okay, and could conceive at any time.
He asked her to take some supplements, the kind that pregnant women took as routine drugs, for a period of time, to help regulate her hormones.
βYou see what I was telling you Jackie. Thereβs nothing thatβll come out of thisβ Nkem had told her friend as they walked to her car that day.
βBut whatβs the harm in taking those medicines my friend? You have taken worse things and more annoying medications just to conceive. Why donβt you just take this and see how it goes?β Jackie had asked.
βDonβt make me laugh Jackie. So to get pregnant, Iβll just have to take what pregnant people take, for a few days, and boom! Iβll get pregnant?
βOkay Jackie, Iβm going to take it, and show you what I mean. Iβm tired of getting anxious about getting pregnant. Iβm just a year away from menopause, so I wonβt kΓ―ll myself because I couldnβt conceive any longer.
βIβll take the medicines as stated, but girlfriend, Iβll call you in four weeks time to let you know how farβ she told Jackie before they parted ways that day.
That night, while her husband begged and cajoled to be allowed to make love to her, Nkem had so many things on her mind, and in the end she just had to let him have his way to allow her sleep, and her mind was far away from that room, while he thrΓ»sted in and out of her.
It was certainly the worst sΓ«x theyβve ever had, because not only did Nkem just stay as immobile as a log of wood, she had tears in her eyes when Joe rolled off her eventually.
For Joe, he knew he was going to have a tough time getting things back in shape with his wife, after she witnessed him making love to Farida, but he hadnβt expected things to be that bΓ d.
He kissed and played with her, trying to get her in the mood, to no avail. How he was able to ride till he reached his own climΓ x, while she lay beneath him like an inanimate object, he couldnβt tell. But he knew that if he had seen those tears that he saw after he rolled off her, he surely would have lost the erectiΓ²n.
