π«π The Other Woman Episode Twenty Nine:
After Joe left Nkemβs house, he sent her a message, requesting her to give him a call whenever she gets a specific type of message from him.
Then he prepared the message he’d need for the operation and saved it as a template, ready to use it as an SOS because he knew heβd need it.
When he saw Farida coming down to the sitting room, looking all mushy and sèxy, he had a feeling of repulsion, rather than the attraction he was expected to have for the beautiful and young body she was displaying with the scanty clothes she wore.
He found it very annoying that he was compelled to put up with Farida for much longer and thought of how to stay off her sides, until something comes up from the people he had asked to investigate her and her mother.
So when his phone began to ring, Farida paused to allow him take his call and he had to give the act his best shot.
βHello Kola, yes, I can hear you. Howβs the deal going?β he asked, speaking with an imaginary business partner.
He ensured that he didnβt pay attention to the things Nkem was saying, just continued saying what he had to say.
βI donβt want to hear it Kola! You were duly informed about how important this deal is before you travelled.
βHow could you have taken such a huge risk? What am I going to do now?β Joe asked, his brows knitting in supposed Γ£nger.
βIs everything okay?β Farida whispered, and Joe gave her a βhold onβ sign and continued speaking into his phone.
βYou know what Kola, I’ll come. I have no choice after all, but you must know that Iβm so angry that youβre going to make me embark on this impromptu journey, because of your own mistakes!β Joe said, and waited for some moments to make it seem like he was listening to a response.
Well, he was actually hearing a response, because Nkem was asking him if heβs okay, and asking to know if he needed help.
βI donβt need of help from you, but you better begin to make plans on how to make it up to me for making me embark on this journey.
βI have a pregnant wife at home to take care of, but youβre going to make me stay away from her for a couple of days, and you think I should be happy about that?
βAnd youβre not even leaving me a chance to decide to come over or not because of the state of things rught now. And I now have to be away for an unspecified number if days from my wife because of your incompetence.
βYou think itβs a very pleasing thing that I have to get up now and hit the road because things will get totally destroyed if I donβt jet out in the next hour?
βPlease get off my phone. I need to utilize every minute I have left now. I canβt risk what is at stake now for anything in the worldβ he said, and hung up, looking Γ ngry.
Farida looked up at him, worried because she could tell that he was in such a hurry to run off, and from the way he was sounding, she didnβt know how she was going to be able to ask him to give her the money her mother had told her to get from him.
Her mother told her that an emergency came up and she needed to get something done to ensure they werenβt give away.
βFarida, I have to run now. There is an emergency and if I donβt leave now, a lot will go wrongβ Joe said, hurrying into his room to prepare to leave.
She got up and followed Joe into the room, asking him what was going on and if she could go with him.
βYou canβt go with me Farida. I have something very important to attend to, and if youβre with me, Iβll be too worried about your welfare to be able to concentrate on what I have to do.
βYouβll go to your motherβs and stay with her for the meantime. When Iβm back from my trip, Iβll come over to her house to bring you homeβ Joe told Farida as he hurriedly got a bag packed.
His phone began to ring again, this time, not because he sent Nkem any SOS, but because Nkem was trying to know what was truly going on.
βIβll be with you shortly. Please hold on and keep things ready before I arriveβ Joe told her and hung up.
βIβm sorry baby, I wonβt be able to able to wait for you to get ready to leave before I take off.
βIβve got to hurry up and meet up with Kola. I’ll call you all the way, and ensure that you donβt miss me so muchβ he told her giving her a peck before he ran off, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as he moved out of the house.
He had to book a ride to take him to Nkemβs house, because he knew he couldnβt let his car be parked outside Nkemβs house, when he claimed to be out of town.
His ride arrived very timely, and he gave Farida a hug before he boarded the cab and headed out.
Nkem was pleasantly surprised to hear the details of what he had done to be able to run away from Farida and have time to be with her and his mother.
“Since when did you become an actor Joe? I could have sworn that you won’t be able to make someone unable to tell when you’re Γ ngry.
“How you evolved to being so dramatic, and able to pull these stunts, zero I can’t help but marvel at” Nkem told her husband, smiling.
βI donβt know how long itβs going to take before the mother and daughter are brought to book, but I know I wonβt be able to keep staying with that woman while my wife and child miss me at this crucial timeβ Joe told his wife.
Meanwhile, Farida had arrived her mother’s house and told her about what was going on.
“Joe had to travel because something came up, and his attention is urgently needed, and he asked me to be with you for the time being” Farida told her mother who seemed so lost and preoccupied with something she couldn’t understand.
“Mum, did you hear me? Are you alright?” Farida asked her mother, sitting besides her.
“I’m fine, really, I am. Just preoccupied with a few personal thoughts.
“Were you able to get the money I asked you to get from him? Something else even came up this morning, and I have to ensure that I get the money needed now!” Mandy told her daughter, looking so distraught.
She had asked her daughter to get her some money the day before, because she wanted to hire someone to kΓ―ll Max who was becoming a bone in her neck, but that morning in, Max sent her a very shocking video, and asked her to pay him a certain amount of money, or he’d be sending the video to all the social media channels.
Mandy couldn’t tell how Max was able to get a video recording of their sexuΓ l escapade, something that had happened without her proper understanding of what led to what.
She could understand that Max had a spiked drink and that made him all silly and clingy, but what about her?
“Why was I so in need of a man all of a sudden? I am pretty sure I didn’t make any mistakes with the drinks.
“How come I got so hΕrny all of a sudden that I couldn’t control my desire to be with a man, and allowed that dΓͺspicable little boy bΓ ng me, the much he did.
“What will I do, if he let’s Farida see that video? How can I explain to her that I was under the influence of something I can’t explain that made me virtually tear him apart, as I gnawed at him to make love to me?” Mandy thought as she sat, looking at her daughter.
