Iris sat on Anna’s bed, holding her hand gently praying she would wake up. It’s been two days already since the blood transfusion but according to the doctor, it was a fifty percent chance.
The door opened and Bradley walked in with his hands tucked inside his pockets. Iris smiled lightly when she saw him..
That’s more for being grateful to him for donating blood to Anna..
She’d admit he had been kinda sweet lately maybe because he felt she needed support cos of Anna but whatever the reason was, she was enjoying it.
“Boss” she called and Bradley frowned lightly. She still found it hard to call him by his name though, she’s more comfortable calling him ‘Boss’
“Hey” Bradley said finally getting to her, he looked over at Anna and then squinted his eyes. Iris was pretty busy watching his face.
“She moved a finger” he whispered and Iris quickly looked over at Anna but there was no movement, Iris had to strain her eyes.. But still nothing.
Her face fell and just when she was bout to look away.. Anna’s lids moved.
Iris squealed in delight and Bradley smiled but his eyes were on Iris.
She was so much different from what he had imagined her to be, she looks innocent very much innocent from the lady who did things to him that night.
But still he had found her, he’d already paid a private investigator.. And he prays his suspicions were right.
“Stay right here I’ll go call the doctor” Iris said rushing out of the room. Bradley eyes returned to the girl, who was her father anyway?

Jordan checked his phone and sighed softly when he saw Megan’s messages, he had intentionally not replied to any.
There were a lot of things going on in his mind and he needed to warn Megan, though he never knew why she’d left her dad’s house but.. Her father knew of her whereabouts and he thinks that’s not a good thing.
He decided to call her but her line wasn’t reachable..

Bradley’s mum watched Titan whistling happily to himself, something was up. Ever since his daughter left, he had never been happy… So why the sudden change of mood?
Bryan was sitting on the couch, legs crossed, his eyes pinned on his phone screen. He had no appointments for the day and well, he’d called Bradley’s secretary but instead his P. A picked the call and told him she no longer worked there.
He’d also gone to her house but met nobody.. Bradley was not seen either, he was suspicious. Bradley might be interested in his secretary that points why he’d never told him her name and even refused to give him her contact.
Sophia came downstairs and met Bryan, she rolled her eyes before sitting next to him.
“He seems happy, know the reason?” she asked and Bryan scoffed.
“You asking me? You’re his wife, so you should know better” he said and she sighed.
“Well, he refused to tell me anything” she said and Bryan shrugged his eyes still on his phone.
“Maybe that’s because you don’t deserve to know” he muttered and Sophia glared at him before keeping shut.
The relationship she had with her sons got worst when she remarried, Bradley don’t wanna have anything to do with her and she really doesn’t care because to her, he was the reason she lost her husband in the first place and Bryan..
He definitely knows something, something that he doesn’t want to let her know..

Winifred sat in her cubicle playing her fingers gently on the desk, the boss had not arrived for 2 days now making Jocelyn take over.
She reached for her phone, it held the truth and more.. She’s been keeping tabs on Jocelyn ever since she got employed.
Jocelyn had a bad reputation while in school, she could do virtually anything to get whatever she needs.

“She looks stable.. Which is..” Shaw paused staring at Anna and then back at Iris who clasped her hands together.
“Which is a miracle” he completed and Iris broke into a wide grin.
“Can you hear me?” Dr. Shaw asked Anna and she nodded.
“Can you speak?” he asked again and she nodded.
“Yes” her voice came out croaked due to the days she’d spent without talking.
Bradley just stood beside the doctor with hands crossed.. He had nothing to say anyway.
“Follow my hands” Shaw instructed and moved a finger over her eyes, her eyes followed his finger for a while but then they stopped.
Her eyes were fixed on Bradley who had his fingers under his chin, a habit Anna had learned.
He smiled at her and she moved her eyes away too quickly, Iris saw this gesture and bit her lips to hide her smile.
The man was beautiful and then him being around her always.. Wasn’t helping her drool. She no longer felt intimidated by his presence but this time it was something warmer.
Megan had to leave so she could get to work on time, since she no longer had a job.. Megan had to look for one, so when Anna is strong enough. She’d go job hunting.
“She’s perfectly fine, her vitals are okay” he said and the nurse behind him scribbled into her note.
“I’ll be back in the next hour to administer her medication” Dr. Shaw said and smiled at Iris before leaving the room with the nurse trailing behind him.
Iris moved closer to Anna, taking her hand in hers..
“Baby are you okay?” she asked almost quietly and Anna stared at her blankly for a while before nodding.
Iris glanced at Bradley before smiling warmly at Anna..
It was much comforting that she was alright..
Bradley’s phone rang and he excused himself to go take the call..
“Boss.. ” it was the Investigator, Bills was his name.
“Hey.. You called” Bradley muttered, his heart was thumping inside of him. And for the first time since forever, he was nervous.
“Any news?” he added quickly and he could hear the man’s chuckle.
“Yes boss. She’d shown up at F$F club that night, according to the CCTV from the last three years. I was able to identify her, she’d left with a man that night” he said and Bradley’s breathing became hitched.
“I think she’s the one you’ve been looking for but you have to let her know, if she remembers” Bills said.
“Yeah, thank you. This information means a lot” he said, he could feel Bills smile before ending the call.
He rested on the wall, he wasn’t wrong after all.. He’d gotten the feeling since the first day, he saw her in the elevator.
Now that he’d seen her, he wasn’t gonna let her slip out of his hands again.
••• 5pm, Megan’s Apartment•••
Megan returned from work already, she dropped her bag on the couch and walked into the kitchen for a glass of water.
She’s gonna take a shower before leaving for the hospital, work was hectic.
She was still in the kitchen when the door of the living room burst open.
She paused, thinking she’d misheard or something but it was true cos she heard the thumping of boots and then hushed whispers.
She tiptoed to the kitchen with her hand over her mouth, is she being robbed?
There were boys about three of them.. She tried to hide quickly but that was when the thrash can fell causing them to look in her direction.
She ducked behind the door but the guys were getting to her already..
Her eyes grew wider when she saw the boots of one of the guys standing over the door staring wickedly at her with the most disgusting smirk on his face.
