Joy rushed to see her sister early the following day after she received the news of what had happened.The family was in sombre mood when she arrived
Shawn welcomed Joy into the house and led her into the bedroom where Joyline was.She was shedding tears in pain.Joy went and sat closer to her as she held her hands before they hugged
“Joyline am really sorry, please take heart everything is gonna be okay”
“You don’t know how I am feeling sis,I am ashamed of myself,I can’t even look into my husband’s eyes”
They chatted for a while and she had managed to calm her down before she left her inside the bedroom to have sometime alone.She went into the sitting room and found Shawn,he was on call but she couldn’t hear anything that he was saying
He was busy walking from one corner to the other, something was bothering her and Joy could notice it.She had thought maybe it was just the pain of losing a child that might have been disturbing him but immediately she realized that it wasn’t,since when he saw her standing and staring at him
he immediately ended the call and stood staring back.His heart was now beating faster as if he had just seen a ghost.He immediately slid the phone inside his trouser pocket and rushed where Joy was standing
“Joy what is wrong?”
“Nothing is wrong and in fact you should be the one telling me what is going on with you”
“What do you mean? I am fine”
“I don’t believe you at all,are you cheating on my sister?”
“No why would you even say something stupid as that,she is my wife I can’t do anything stupid as that”
“And who were you talking to before you saw me and ended the call”
“Just a friend Joy,I love your sister and I can’t do her any harm”
“Okay,I think I should be going”
She picked her handbag and they both walked out chatting.Shawn escorted her to the gate and made sure she had boarded a motorcycle before he went back into the house
He went straight into his secret room that was in the house .Shawn was not a good person that everybody usually thought of,he was practicing witchcraft and she had used his powers to make Joyline marry him
They had first met with Joyline three years ago in a bar one night.By then they were still in the university and Joyline had gone out for a weekend.She was used to going out to have fun ,drink with people and make sure she gets a hold of a rich man who would spoil her with money
So that night was special,she got into the drinking parlor, ordered a bottle of beer and sat at a table next to the young Shawn.He was handsome,looked classy and immediately Joyline saw him,she felt that she wanted him and made an effort to approach him
She moved closer to where he was seated and greeted him
“Hey handsome,mind if we have a drink together?”
“Yeah sure,in fact I will order for more drinks so that we can drink with you baby girl”
They drank and drank that night while dancing together.
