It’s up to a week since Preye’s mother was told Preye is dead. Godwin took it upon himself to be checking up on Preye’s mother and Victory.
Godwin, up till now they have not said what killed my daughter. Preye’s mother asked Godwin.

Godwin dialed Blessing’s number and this time Blessing picked up. Godwin had called her before now and introduced himself as Preye’s Uncle. He still repeated the question of what happened to Preye and where is her body. Blessing would have helped and told him everything that happened and also how she died but poor Blessing is scared of the oath they took. She only told him she was shot at midnight on the street by unidentified men and a gun was found in her hand then the government of the country ceased her body and they are still investigating. Godwin wanted to ask more questions but Blessing hung up again.
Godwin visited Preye’s mother and bought a bicycle for Victory to help strengthens his legs and so many other things he bought for Victory and his grandmother.
Mama, can I beg you for something, please? Godwin asked.
What is it, my son? Preye’s mother said.
Mama, can I teach Victory to be calling me Daddy or Papa? Godwin made a request.
Hahaha! What else again? You have been doing what his father denied doing for him. You are the father he sees now. Victory will refuse to eat but the moment you call him and start feeding him he will be eating it with laughter and smiles. You can my son.
Godwin was extremely happy he doesn’t know when he jumped and hugged Preye’s mother and grabbed Victory. Mama Preye was happy seeing Godwin rejoicing.
Blessing who couldn’t figure out what to do to Ferdinand went to the police station and made entering and the police came and arrested Ferdinand for murder and other crimes. In police custody, Ferdinand accepted all the allegations they labeled him but denied he did kill Preye.
That fateful night, I was supposed to kill Preye and forced a gun in her hand but what I don’t understand was how everything happened. I followed Preye not quite longer she came out of the compound. I saw the direction she took when she opened the gate. But immediately I came out the road was empty. I ran down the road to know if she ran as she opened the gate yet there was no sign of her. I didn’t know
What else to do then I shot the gun into the air to make it look like I’ve done what I was ordered to do. Ferdinand confessed.
Blessing was informed of the confession Ferdinand had made but found it very difficult to believe and wanted to go in search of Preye but it was too late for her. She was arrested for sneaking into the country illegally and the rest of the girls were arrested too.
