‘ Young man,what brings you to my house? Asked Tope
‘ I came to warm the engine’ He replied.
‘ what engine?.you think this some joke? Screamed Tope,gifting pretty boy a resounding slap which blurred his vision for a moment.
‘ please don’t kill me,I never knew she was married! He pleaded.
Tope filled with indignation,ignored pretty boy’s pleas for mercy and unleashed all the frustration he faced while on the peace keeping mission.
Pretty boy’s face was messed up by Tope’s knuckles which were hardened by years of intensive training and experience on the battle field.
As the manhandling continued, pretty boy’s survival instinct kicked in. Upon realizing that Tope was nothing but a man in a military uniform,he stood up to defend himself but was shortly overpowered by Tope who spent half of his life battling insurgence.
Tope pinned pretty boy to the ground, with his grip fastened on his neck,in an attempt to strangle him.
Fatima who stood tearfully watching grew concerned,knowing her husband was out to kill. Confused, she pick up the follower vase lying in the corner of the room, hitting Tope on the head.
Tope loosened his grip off pretty boy’s neck and laid on the ground besides him unconscious.
Fatima was frightened thinking she had killed her husband, but after checking his pulse, she was relieved to know his was alive.The two swiftly fled the house befofe the angry lion regained consciousness.
Fatima momentarily painted a picture of pitching tents with pretty boy on the canvas of her heart. Believing that he would consider her for the stance she took against her husband.
But her thoughts turned in the opposite direction as pretty boy vehemently rejected the idea, blaming Fatima for putting his life in jeopardy. Fatima,heart broken, disappeared into the night, vowing revenge.
‘ I will deal with you when you least expect! Said Fatima, snapping her fingers before disappearing into the cover of darkness.
It took pretty boy weeks to recover from the beating he received from Fatima’s husband.
One day, while he laid on his bed,still in the recovery process, his phone chimed. It was the surgeon texting,threatening to expose pretty boy's real identity if he wasn't paid a certain amount as he was in the midst of financial crisis.
Although disturbed, pretty boy remained mute and did not respond to the message.
‘ if I give him the money, he will keep the threat going whenever he needs the bag,so it’s better I exterminate him from the earth’s surface to remain in the safe zone’ he thought, fixing his gaze on the ceiling.
Convinced that exterminating the surgeon was the best thing to do, pretty boy made contacts and the surgeon was assassinated.
However, before embarking on the journey of threatening pretty boy, the surgeon had told his brother about pretty boy, Incase anything happened to him.
The surgeon’s brother, greatly affected by his brother’s death,vowed no retreat till he sends pretty boy to the after life.
He then exposed pretty boy’s real identity and the police followed suite and pretty boy was on the run. To be continued.
