π Pregnant For My Husband’s Driver CHAPTER THIRTY: π€°
When all hope became lost to Doctor Nora, she drove to the hospital. She was confused on what to tell Mama. She pitied Genevieve and the circumstances surrounding her. As she sluggishly moved to her office, she saw Apollo waiting outside Genevieve’s ward fir her.
She stood a distance staring with shock all over face.
“What brought Apollo back? Who called him?”. She wondered aloud as she took steps forward towards them.
“Doctor Nora, I called Apollo. I don’t want my daughter to die”. Mama hurried to Nora and held her.
“You should have called me doctor Nora! Even if I don’t owe them any duty, it’s humane to help!”. Apollo aired heartbreakingly to doctor Nora. She stood speechless. All doctor Nora ever wanted was to set Westley’s family right. She wanted the family united which his late father would have wanted if he was alive. But from the Westley’s attitude, it was evident he didn’t want unity.
“How are you sure your blood can match hers?”. Doctor Nora asked looking at Apollo’s inquisitiveness and determination.
“Carry out the test”. Apollo suggested.
“Please, doctor Nora! It’s 5:30pm already!”. Mama yelled at Nora. Doctor Nora looked at the wall clock and hurriedly dashed off. She beckoned on Apollo to follow her. Mama waited at the reception, while Nora and Apollo entered the laboratory. Because of the time frame, doctor Nora didn’t carry out any test on Apollo to check his health status. She confirmed that Apollo’s blood group 0 could transfer to Genevieve’s blood group A+.
Not quite long, she emerged from the ward with the transfusion successfully done.
“Oh Jesus! I’m so grateful! Thank you, doctor Nora!”. Mama couldn’t express her joy. She fell on her knees and prayed in tears when they went in to see Genevieve’s eyes opened.
“How are you feeling, Genevieve?”. Doctor Nora asked her with a glittering smile.
“I’m fine. How’s my husband and kids?”. Genevieve’s voice came so cold and calm.
