π§ My Roommate And The Man From A Graveyard Episode Eleven:
I was still scared and breathing heavily. I didn’t believe what Michael said; I didn’t believe that we were safe, yet I nodded my head to affirm Michael’s consolation. I have seen what the ghost man was capable of; how he forcefully drag Victoria; how he followed her everywhere. I’ve seen how he made Michael become lifeless. He said we should not reveal him to anyone. He could do anything to make sure we don’t reveal him to anyone. Who knows if he had followed us here? What if he finds us? I wondered in my mind.
Few minutes later, Temidayo came back with two bottles of water, coke and takeaway containing jellof rice. He gave it to us and we thanked him.
I have been severely hungry so I rushed the food while Michael narrated the ghost man story to Temidayo. How the ghost man had been tormenting Victoria and I, and how we both came running to his house.
“Right now we are scared of what the ghost man might do to us if he discover that we had run away and trace us down here” Michael said.
“He won’t do you any harm! He can’t trace you! ” Temidayo said with authority. He went straight to his reading table and brought out two bibles. He handed on to Michael and asked him to hold my hand. Michael held my hand so tight.
“All I want you to do is to believe that theres God and that he has dominion over all creations of the earth” Temidayo told Michael and I.
“Believe that God is in you and no harm will befall you.”
Temidayo made the sign of the cross and said to us. “Lets go somewhere”
Michael and I stood up. Temidayo made to take his house padlock and key. While we were waiting for him, I felt a sudden cold breeze, the kind I feel with Victoria back in our room; that kind that shows that the ghost man is angry.
“I think he’s here” I said like a whisper.
“Who’s here? The ghost? He can’t be here!” Temidayo said with authority, while still looking for his padlock.
The breeze increased suddenly with coldness, then it started to blow the cottons and bedspread and every light things in the room.
“He’s here!” I said aloud. “This is his signs that he is around and angry”
“Why did you reveal me?” I heard the ghost man’s voice. In fact, Michael and Temidayo heard him too. I couldn’t tell where the voice drifted from, but I know the ghost man was in the room with us.
“I told you not to tell anyone about me!” The ghost man voice drifted again.
“Who are you that no one should know about you?” Temidayo asked.
“Who are you to tell the living what to do? You are a ghost and you have no right over the living, therefore, I command you in the name of Jesus, go back to where you came from.
“Haha,” The ghost man laughed.
“Where I came from, I can’t go back because I like it here!”
“Well you must go back because you have no place here” Temidayo said and went to his door. He opened it and asked us to come along. We went out of the room, and waited for Temidayo to lock his door.
“Before I return, you have left this room, and make sure you don’t follow us to where we are going” He told the ghost man as if he was talking to his servant.
Temidayo led us to a church; catholic church to be precise. When we got there, he went straight to the alter to pray. We followed him. When he was done praying, he led us to the parish priest house, which was behind the church. The Reverend Father was sitting outside his house, reading a motivational book.
“Good evening Father” Temidayo greeted and the priest raised his head. Immediately he saw us, he shouted at us.
“Stop right there you dΓ¨vil! I rebuke you in the name of Jesus”
The priest was pointing and looking at us.
We all stood at ease. For a moment, I felt embarrassed. I mean why will the Reverend Father rubuke us. He doesn’t know us, so why is he shouting at us. I totally forgot that we had been battling with a ghost man who have been following us.
“For my Bible made me to understand that…” The Reverend Father continued to talk. I stopped paying attention to what the priest was saying. I focused my mind on, trying to dictate where the ghost man was and what possibly will his reaction be.
“Where are you going? Come back here and face me!” The Reverend Father should.
It seemed like what or who he was talking to pay no attention to him. He stood up quickly and rushed into his house. Few minutes later, he came out with his bible, holy water, annointing oil and that clothe reverend fathers usually hung on their neck. He kissed the cloth and hung it on his neck. Then he turned towards me and said.
“The dΓ¨vil had gone to meet her. His evil is germinating in her; if we don’t go now; it may be too late”
I stood confused and not knowing what to do or say.
