Sandra sat outside her compound enjoying the afternoon sun,the thought in her mind wasn’t adding up
“Who could have cursed her?” she kept thinking but no idea came into her mind
Sandra has never gotten herself into problems that might lead someone to curse her,she thought and thought then finally decided to let go
“I will go to our pastor,I know the church is able to heal my sickness”
Sandra decided to wait for that Sunday so that she would leave home and attend church,she had not gone to church for so long after suffering
On Saturday at night,Sam spirit appeared again,as always it looked very dangerous but this time it came to pass a message to Sandra
“As you have decided to go tomorrow for prayers remember to confess all your evil doings,I will leave you alone forever and your curse will be lifted” the spirit said and then it disappeared
Sandra was now used to seeing the spirit and therefore her fears were no more, it was now like a daily routine
The following day she prepared herself early,had breakfast and left for church with Betty who helped her onto the motorbike
They got to church some few minutes later and found that people had already started arriving,they then walked into an empty seat in the corner and sat listening to the sermon
When the pastor was done,he told everyone who needed prayers to raise up their hands so that he can pray with them.Sandra was still in doubts but after seeing that some people had started raising their hands she too decided to raise her hands
The pastor prayed for some minutes then told the people who had raised their hands up to step forward so that he can bless them.People started moving forward,she was hesitant at first but finally she gathered courage and stepped forward with the help of the house maid
The pastor continued to pray and as he was still praying Sandra could see Sam.She could hear him very well.The spirit whispers into her ears but she hears as if the spirit is shouting at her ears
“Now it’s your time,go and confess and be free” it says and starts to laugh,”If you don’t you are doomed forever”
Suddenly Sandra screams causing some commotion in the church as people stay glued to see the drama that was just about to start
She throws herself onto the floor and starts to crawl while saying ” I am sorry Sam! I am so sorry!”
The people in the church do not understand what is going on and they are each confused.The pastor thinks that maybe Sandra is possessed and he starts to pray
“It is there! The ghost is there,it wants to kill me pastor,help me”
“Confess now “the ghost says and laughs then moves close and tries to hold her neck
“Okay I will confess” Sandra says staring at the ghost.The pastor was glued staring at her
Two women came and held her while one helped her carry the microphone and she started to confess everything from the beginning where she tried to kill Lucy upto the end
Lucy and Damian who were at the church were shocked to hear what she was saying
“I have never had a good sleep since the night I tried to remove the skull of the dead,I have been seeing him appear before me and it has never been a good experience” she said and ended the call
Just then her leg which was paining went numb,there was no pain at all again,the ghost that she was seeing had disappeared
She stood to the pulpit staring at the large crowd full of people,she couldn’t bear the shame anymore,her legs became weak,her body became cold and she collapsed right infront.An ambulance was called and she was rushed to the hospital but however it was too late,she died because of heart attack
The news spread all over the place of what had happened in the village and who had caused it.The elders were also called to send Sam spirit to rest as it had acquired justice
The spirit last appeared to Damian and Lucy.It told Lucy that she could now fall in love and live happily then told Damian to take care of Lucy and finally it disappeared.
It went back to its world never to be seen again.Sandra was given a beautiful sendoff as she had been forgiven by everyone and life went on
Damian promised to take care of Lucy and never to maltreat her,he even sweared before the grave of his Late brother and wife and they lived happily ever.Their love even grew.Lucy took it her responsibility to take care of Sandra’s children as her own.
