The next day I cried alot, i got broken and couldn’t come out of my room.

My eyes was red and swollen. She screamed when i raised my head from the pillow to face her.

I looked at my aunt and how she was forcing me to eat the food.
Aunty Cynthia, uhm.. can you go first? just eat the food, i will like to be sure first.

No, I didn’t say so.. Just eat the food first. She picked the spoon and ate more than five spoons of rice,drank little from the water she brought and started crying.
Jenny I know I failed you as an elder sister, I failed my sister the most. Your mother was the only sister i had. She took care of me like her own blood child. I came late into the family, my sister was already 15yrs before my parents gave birth to me. My parents wasn’t expecting a baby anymore since they tried all possible means yet No child came again. But fortunately I came unexpectedly. My elder sister loved me so much and also made sure I got to school. Our parents died early so she has been my mother and father and that’s the reason i don’t play with her. I loved everything about my sister including her family which is you and Tochi my beautiful nieces. I wouldn’t hurt you nor let anything bad happen to you.

Am broken inside my heart and it hurt alot. I thought if we get married that he was going to change. I saw the signs, he cheated on me twice while dating.
You know… he pleaded and i pardoned his adultery lifestyle while convicing myself that he was gonna change.
Am sorry i ignored those red flags and n….now..now my niece has fallen the victim. My elder sister might never forgive me if she hears about this.

I watch my aunt crying, she wasn’t faking it. The tears was really from her heart. I couldn’t control my tears either. She’s just got married in less than a year and all she got was the man who paid her bride price in full impregnate her niece under her noise. All i could see was a broken woman in tears.
It has happened already. I picked up the spoon and started eating without saying anything to my aunt, while thinking of what would life look like as a teenage mother.
