Karina rolled her eyes as she muttered, “As if you can control your team during basketball practice.”
“What?” Hendrey asked
“Nothing.” She rolled her eyes once again.
“Why are you rolling your eyes?”
“How is that your problem?” She asked pissed off
Hendrey a basketball coach and PE teacher and Karina an algebra teacher became ‘friends’ because of Giselle. Thought they were always not in good terms, they still eat lunch together and go home together. The reason behind this confusion lies on Karina. Secretly she likes him but he doesn’t feel the same towards her. To hide her true feelings, she thought of having little argument with him.
“Guys, you’re like that again.”

Skipping his lunch, Lucas was at the library studying for the test for his next class. He was alone at the wooden table as he plugged in his earphone to listen to his favorite group. While reading, he sees a finger in front of him tapping on the table. He looked up and sees that it was Lia his classmate.
She was talking but Lucas couldn’t hear anything. All he could see is her moving lips and eyes squinting. He removed the left side of his earphone and with his squinted eyes, he asked “Huh?”
Lia was surprised as his voice echoed.
“Shh!” The librarian shouted
“Sorry.” Lia apologized
“What?” Lucas’s whispered, embarrassed
“Can I study with her?” She asked with a beam on her face.
“Whatever.” He muttered while shaking his head as he plus his earphone once again.
Lia slightly squealed as she say beside him and opened her books. Sneakily, she unplugged the right side of his earphone and plugged it to her rights ear. “What are you listening to?”
Surprised, Lucas forcefully unplugged it from her ear. “What do you think you’re doing?” He asked, he almost shouted but managed to control it.
“You like BabyMonster too?” She whipping as she held onto his arm.
“Yeah..” he said as he also removed her hands from his arms. “Why?”
“I listen to them too! What’s your favorite song?”
“Why do you care..” he coldly asked as he continued reviewing.
“Can I listen with you?”
Lucas pretended not to hear what she asks as he continued reading the book. Lia friend as she turned the book to the pages where Lucas was in. From time to time, she peeked his book and him.

The bell rang for dismissal and Giselle prepared her things to leave, immediately she descended the stairs along with the pile of students that were excited to go home and nap for the study hall session. She walked on the open field, least to the gate of the school.
As she neared the gate of the school, she was taken aback as she saw an unexpected person in front of her, wearing formal and classy clothing with expensive jewelry, quite slender, fair skin and a face that is quite resembles her was her mother, standing beside a black car and with her driver in it. With her eyebrows high, she looked at Giselle.
“Giselle.” Her mother said in a high pitch and intimidating tone.
“Mom..” she stuttered as her mother walked towards her and grabbed her wrist.
“Giselle.. let’s.. let’s go home.” She pleaded.
Giselle looked to the side and said. “If you want me to be home just because I that arranged marriage and become the inheritor of our firm then please..let go of my hand.
“Why don’t you want to?” Her mother blurted out, losing her temper.
“Mom, we’ve already talked about this before right? Mom..I’m sorry, but just like I said before, I want to decide on my own. I want to have my.. freedom.”
In a flash, her mother slapped her on the cheek in front of the students existing the school. “Look at those manners!” She repulsed. “We did not raise you like that. Where is the Giselle we know huh? Where?”
“S.. sorry.. Mom.. the Giselle you know is still here..but now she’s no longer a girl but a woman. A woman who has the freedom to decide on his own.” She replied politely. “Excuse me, I need to go home now and prepare for lecture tomorrow.
She avoided her mother’s glare as she ran away from her. Her mother breathed heavily as she continued glaring at her, distraught on what her daughter has become.
She arrived in front of her house 30 minutes after. The sun was ready to set as she opened her gate. She descended the small stairs and knocked the door three times.
