Giselle walks to her room and stops as she closed the door, she inhale and then exhale continuously.
“Why did you say that?” He asked, feeling embarrassed.
Karina laughs loud. “Tell me..do you like her?”
“Huh? Me?” He asked as he points himself. “No.”
Karina looks at him mischievously.
“I don’t know okay.” He admits as he looks down and sighs.
“Why don’t you know? If you’re feeling something different when you’re with her, you like her. If you feel happy when you’re with her, you like her. That simple.”
“It’s not that simple.” He opposed. “I..I like someone. I can’t like two people right?”
“But who weight more in your heart?”
Felix didn’t answer the question. He shook his head and said. “I don’t know, my heart might tell me soon.”
“Your heart will tell you soon.” She corrects. “It will be much better to decide fast. You never know when fate will decide to turn things upside down.”
The night passes and another day comes. Giselle woke up, only to see that the sky blue blanket Felix used, is folded and stacked below the white pillow, beside the bed she slept on. She gets off her bed , walks out of the room after fixing her bed.
She sees Karina and Felix on the dinning table, conversing while eating their breakfast. Felix noticed her and said. “Hey, you’re up.”
Karina looks at her back to check Giselle. She waved her hand while holding the toasted bread on her left hand.
Giselle smile and walks towards the table, she sits and Felix hands her a plate of toasted bread. She gets a piece and starts eating.
Karina smiles at them and said. “You two look good together.”
“Karina.” Giselle said shyly
“Why?” Karina asked while laughing. She looks at Felix and was surprised to see his serious expression.
“Okay.” she said with stress, and continued munching the bread.
Giselle looks at Felix, who was eating. She suddenly remembered that her Mother wants them to stay in their house.
“Karina.” She said softly. Karina looks at her curiously. “Thank you for letting us stay here for a while.”
“I’ve heard that like a million times for the past two days. Again, you’re welcome. I understand your situation, so you can stay.”
“M..my Mom..I went home and she said we can stay there.”
“R.. really?” Karina asked despondent. She already knows that there’s something wrong.
“I’ll get to meet Giselle’s parents more?” Felix asked. He then looks up and mumbles. “Her mother seems strict, how about her father?”
“It seems like you’re excited huh?” Karina observes.
Felix was silent, his phone rang and he received a text message from Winter. Telling him to meet her in the art gallery in Gwangju and Felix replies with a yes.
Giselle continues talking with Karina about their transfer to her parent’s house. Felix wasn’t listening as he was excited to see Winter.
“Giselle, can I meet Winter this noon?”
“Huh?” She was surprised. “Sure, just be here before 4pm because Mom’s carpool will arrive by that time.”
“Okay. Thank you Giselle.” He felt excited.
He quickly goes to the room and takes his bath. He takes his time picking what to wear, but ends up wearing clothes Winter chose during their shopping last time. He sprays his perfume and hurries out of the room. He said goodbye to them, who were sitting on the couch watching another Cdrama from Giselle’s collection of dramas.
As soon as he leaves, Karina grabs the black remote and pause and drama.
“Why?” Giselle asked
Karina faces her and looks at her in concern. “There’s something you’re not telling me.”
Giselle clenched the end of her shirt as she looks down.
“There’s a consequence right?” Giselle shook her and. “You have told me about your parents before and your past situation. Don’t tell me you’re..”
“Yes.” She lets out a sigh. “I.. I’ll get married soon. Even though I am completely against it, in the end I have to.”
“I knew it.” Karina said. “Why do you have to? You can stay here for as long as you want. Forever if possible.”
“But in the end, they’ll always do something to pull back to them.”
“Then keep escaping.” Karina shouted
“I..I want to, but I’m doing this not to give up. I’m doing this for Felix, he needs the proper treatment and my parents might have connections that might know or help him.”
“Giselle..” Karina mumbles. She held her hand.
Giselle starts to tear up and Karina rubs her back.
