π Just One Mistake Episode Episode Six:
Bimbo glanced at her slightly protruded stomach and smiled amidst tears; even if she didn’t get to spend much time with Dele, she was glad and privileged to carry his child. How she was pregnant without knowing was another thing that surprised her, but then, she realized that she had been overwhelmed with the thought of her husband’s death and the desire to leave the prison.
Even though her mother could not bring her out of prison, Bimbo decided to throw away the feeling of hopelessness; she decided to live for her child even if she didn’t get to spend much time with him or her. Right in the prison, Bimbo drew closer to God and got assigned by God to begin to preach to other inmates. She got permission from the warders to always organize a devotion every morning, and after devotion, some days, her mom would come with food or snacks for the inmates.
Mrs. Folake prayed and fasted for a miraculous release for her daughter, but nothing happened; it was like God wasn’t answering her prayers; she became weak and began to get tired of praying. Mrs. Folake lay on the floor in her sitting room one afternoon weeping profusely, she had this feeling of frustration around her, and all she wanted was just divine intervention. Her money had failed her, so also her strong connections.
Mrs. Folake was still in that position when her friend walked in. Unfortunately, her friends deserted her when the issue of Bimbo killing Dele broke out; even those who she set up in businesses forsook her. Only Mama Shade remained with her despite the wagging tongues.
Mama Shade: Mama Bimbo, why are you on the floor? Are you crying again? Please, stop crying
Mrs. Folake: (sat up) Why won’t I cry? Look at me; my daughter is in prison for a crime she didn’t commit. When it is time for me to reap the fruit of my labor over my daughter, the devil came for her.
Mama Shade: it’s okay, my friend. I came to invite you to see my pastor; I told him about you and asked him to join me in praying for you, so he called me this morning to tell me that God told him somethings about you
Mrs. Folake: pastor? Abeg, count me out; let him keep whatever God tells him to himself
Mama Shade: no, na, you don’t need to be like this na
Mrs. Folake: the last pastor I went to almost raped me. He said I needed a spiritual cleansing and almost raped me in the process. I had to hit his head on the wall and fled. Abeg, I don’t want to hear anything about pastors jare.
Mama Shade: you don’t need to be afraid; my pastor is a true child of God plus, I will be going with you; I will be there till you leave his office
Mrs. Folake: I guess that would be better.
After a drive of forty-five minutes, Mrs. Folake and her friend arrived at Mama Shade’s church. On getting to the Pastor’s office, they all exchanged pleasantries and settled for the reason why the women were in the Pastor’s office.
Pastor: Welcome again, Mrs. Folake; you see, some days ago, the Holy Spirit told me what you are currently experiencing is a bloodline battle. Your grandfather died when your mother was two, your father died when you were two, and your husband died when your daughter was two, and now, your daughter is in the same boat. You and your daughter need to pray and break the yoke so that it doesn’t continue.
Mrs. Folake: Oh my God! This never crossed my mind.
Pastor: God wanted to give you another man five years after your husband’s demise, but the bloodline battle killed him in an accident
Mrs. Folake: Pastor, this is true. His name is Ben
Pastor: This bloodline battle plans to ensure that women in your lineage don’t get to enjoy their husbands. Money isn’t always your problem and you are always married to great men, but they don’t last. I have written some prayer points here; pray them for three days and come back to me. Your daughter should also participate in this prayer.
