π Just One Mistake Episode Episode Four:
Bimbo: Dele, I never lied to you; something happened. I… I…
Dele: can you just shut up? I don’t want to hear anything from you because you disgust me
Bimbo: Haaaa, Dele, please forgive me
Dele: Get out of my sight
Bimbo: Babe, please, don’t let me leave you. I know I have wronged you; I was just afraid of losing a good man like you
Dele: don’t you think you have finally lost me by lying to me.
Bimbo: Dele, please
Dele walked out of the room; he decided to take a walk as the room was already choking him. He couldn’t still imagine that Bimbo could lie to him; the reason why she lied was something he couldn’t pinpoint. This was someone he loved dearly and was ready to do everything for.
That night, Dele slept in another room, and very early the following morning, before his wife could wake up, he left for work. Getting to the office, his best friend was so surprised to see him because him called him last night that he won’t be coming to work for two days as he wanted to spend time with his wife.
Gomez: Hey, Dude, what’s up!
Dele: I changed my mind
Gomez: you look angry, is everything alright?
Dele: can you believe she had the effrontery to deceive me?
Gomez: calm down, dude. Are you talking about your Secretary?
Dele: of course not; I am talking about Bimbo. Bimbo had the mind to lie about being a virgin
Gomez: No, this can’t be. Bimbo can’t do that; I trust that lady
Dele: Are you trying to say I am telling lies?
Gomez: Not that, but this is surprising; how can she do that? Bimbo is a decent girl
Dele: I thought so too. I am trying to forgive and forget, but I can’t; I think we have to go our separate ways because I can’t live with a deceitful woman. What if she is hiding other things?
Gomez: this is terrible.
Dele: I am not myself; I will just go home.
Gomez: calm does, dude; God will step into the situation.
By noon, Dele drove himself home, and on getting into the living room, he was greeted by the aroma of what Bimbo was cooking; if there was one thing Bimbo was good at, it was cooking. He refused to get distracted by the tantalizing aroma; he went into the room and sat on the bed with his head buried in his palms.
He heard the door open, and Bimbo came in with a tray of food; a look at the food made his stomach rumble, reminding him that he hadn’t eaten anything since morning. He wanted to collect the tray from Bimbo and began to eat immediately, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do that.
Bimbo: (knelt before her husband) Babe, I..I… made you lunch
Dele: (gave her a disgusting look) I am not interested; please, take this away from my sight.
Bimbo: Babe, you need to eat, please; I made it, especially for you. I know you have every right to be mad at me, but please, don’t starve yourself
Dele: (chuckle) Do you want to poison me to inherit my wealth just like your mom killed your dad?
That statement from Dele was as if a stone was thrown at Bimbo; she became angry and didn’t know when she gave him a deafening slap. Yes, people believed her Mom killed her Dad, but she hadn’t expected Dele to believe that.
Bimbo: How dare you, Dele? How dare you call my mother a murderer?
Dele: you slapped me, Bimbo?
With that, Dele picked up the wallet and cell phone and walked out of the house, not minding Bimbo’s plea after she realized her mistake. Bimbo thought Dele actually took a walk and would be back soon, but he didn’t. She called his line, but he wasn’t picking up. She called Gomez, but he told her that Dele didn’t come to his place. When Bimbo didn’t see Dele the following day, she became worried; she called her mom to inform her of the situation, and all Mrs. Folake could do was to pray for her daughter.
When Bimbo didn’t see her husband after twenty-four hours, she ran to the nearest police station to inform them that her husband was missing; she was told to write down her statement with a promise of swingig into action immediately. Bimbo went back home to wait for the police to bring her positive news. As she was walking into the compound, she heard a shout behind her; she turned back to see Gomez, her mother-in-law, and a policeman.
Gomez: Officer, she is the criminal; arrest her. She killed Dele so that he won’t divorce her; she didn’t want the world to know about her deceitful lifestyle
Bimbo: That’s not true, please; what’s happening here?
Mother-in-law: shut up, you murderer. You killed my only son and think you could go scot-free, right? It will not happen; you will pay for murdering my son.
Bimbo: Officer, I didn’t kill anyone. I am just coming from the station where I went to file a report about my husband’s disappearance
Officer: Madam, Mr. Dele was murdered last night, and it was said that you two had a misunderstanding which made him leave the house.
Bimbo: No, this can’t happen; my husband isn’t dead. He can’t be dead; we promised to grow old together; he can’t leave me now.
