π Just One Mistake Episode Episode One:
Mrs. Folake walked into her daughter’s room to see how far she had gone in dressing up. Mrs. Folake, the happiest woman of the day, was gorgeously dressed in a beautiful but expensive lace. Even though she was in her early fifties, her attire made her look like a woman in her thirties. Getting into her daughter’s room, she was satisfied with what she saw; her only daughter, who was getting married, was looking so beautiful. Her makeup was just the way it should be so was her hair; it was neatly and beautifully styled, which made Bimbo, the bride, look ravishing.
Mrs. Folake: My baby girl is just so beautiful; I am sure Dele won’t be able to take his eyes off you. Congratulations, my baby, you are becoming a wife today; I am going to miss you, baby.
Bimbo: Mummm, of course, I am going to miss you, but I am not going far; I am still in this city.
Mrs. Folake: you know, you’ve been the only one I have after the death of your father. (Began to weep). I wish he is alive today to see you walk down the aisle.
Bimbo: I wished so too, but I know he would be so happy to see the wonderful woman I have become; it’s a pity; I never got to see what he looks like.
Mrs. Folake: On his dying bed, he made me promise to make sure you get the best education and be a woman every man will want. Today, I am glad God helped me to train you to this point, and I am happy you listened to me.
Bimbo: Hmmm, thank you, Mom, for being both a father and a mother. Thank you for not giving up on me.
Mrs. Folake: All glory to God, my dear, but have you explained things to Dele?
Bimbo: (suddenly wore a sullen look) I couldn’t, Mom! I am afraid, should I run away??
Mrs. Folake: God forbid, you will do no such thing. God will take control. Get done with your dressing and let’s go to the church, we should not keep people waiting.
Bimbo: Alright, Mommy
Dele was looking so elegant in his blue suit with a black bow tie to match and so were his groomsmen; they were all looking great in their black suits, which had to be different from that of the groom to make him stand out. The groomsmen couldn’t stop teasing Dele, but then, he was enjoying it.
The joy in him was incomparable; he was getting married to the love of his life, and it was so obvious that he couldn’t wait to finally become the husband of a beautiful lady. He remembered the first day he saw her. He had gone to see his elder brother, who was a lecturer at one of the prestigious universities, which happened to be the school Bimbo schooled. That particular day, he decided to visit his brother just to lighten his mood. His girlfriend of five years had broken up with him, and he was as if his world was crumbling and to think he was about to propose to her.
Getting to his brother’s office that day, he met a beautiful fair lady there. Her way of doing things surprised him as he had not seen a lady so respectful and humble. After she left, Dele couldn’t help but ask his brother who she was. His brother’s great words about her further triggered a great liking in him for her, and today, they are about to be made a couple.
As Bimbo walked into the church, she suddenly felt nervous; she had waited for this day all her life; she had fantasized about getting married to the love of her life, she was the happiest woman on earth the day Dele proposed to her, but an incident of one day spoiled things for her.
