π§ It’s Not My Fault Episode Three:
Being pregnant without her husband’s presence wasn’t funny, Bisola experienced the morning sickness and the funny feelings that come with pregnancy all alone. In all, she was grateful to God for a loving and understanding parent, they were always there to see that she was doing fine.
Bisola had expected Dozie to blow the news of her pregnancy but she was surprised he didn’t, something she was grateful to God for. She had expected him to send her the divorce papers but what she saw on his Facebook wall was the picture of his relocation to the US hence, people felt Bisola was staying with her parent because of her husband’s relocation to the States and would join him very soon. It was hard to be away from her husband but there was nothing she could do because his family had made it clear that she can never bring another man’s child into their home.
Bisola would have fallen into depression but the constant comfort of the Holy Spirit and the desire to live for her child was what kept her going. She buried herself in work to wile away time.
Prisca was about to leave her son’s school when she saw a flier in the hands of one of the staff. The picture of someone on the flier made her request for the flier and after looking at it, she discovered the person to be Dozie, her best friend’s husband. Prisca screamed for joy, one thing was certain if Dozie now pastors a church in the States, Bisola will be in the States. Prisca then decided to worship in Dozie’s church the following Sunday to reconnect with her best friend.
Prisca attended Dozie’s church as planned but was disappointed when she didn’t see her best friend. At the end of the service, she rushed to greet Dozie and ask after her best friend. Dozie, who was also very happy to see her, took her to his office.
Prisca: please, where is my baby girl? I can’t wait to see her again after two years
Dozie: hmmm
Prisca: what is the matter? Is Bisola okay?
Dozie: we are no longer together
Prisca: what happened? You guys were so much in love that I always coveted your kind of relationship
Dozie: she is currently carrying another man’s child as in, she is pregnant for another man
Prisca: no way, I know my baby girl so well, she can never cheat on you. Bisola is a very decent girl. Wait, I hope you are not saying this so that I would pity you.
Dozie: if you think I am telling lies, why not reach out to her
Bisola: I misplaced my phone a month after I got here hence, I lost all my contact. I messaged her on Facebook but she hasn’t responded. Please, give me her contact
Dozie: I already deleted it, I don’t want to have anything to do with her again
Prisca: no na, you guys should not let the devil destroy the happy home God gave you. Dozie, you are a spiritual person, I feel you should understand that there is more to what’s happening, do you think Bisola can just cheat on you like that?
Dozie: I don’t wanna know anything. When I am over this, I will send her the divorce papers so that she can sign then, I will move on with my life. I just hope I would be able to trust another lady
Prisca: haaa! This is not happening. My son has been pleading that I take him to Nigeria so that he can spend his Christmas with his paternal grandparent. I will grant him that request because of you and Bisola, I need to travel to Nigeria to hear and see things for myself.
Dozie: nothing you do will make me change my mind. I will never have anything to do with her again.
Prisca: calm down Dozie, I know you are hurt. Who wouldn’t be? But please, let me talk to her
Dozie: and to think she isn’t remorseful
Prisca: haaa, what could be happening?
