π€· I Never Wanted To Fight Him:
I planned to have an eight-hour sleep after a very busy week but this plan of mine was cut short when my next-door neighbor began to scream, it was obvious the couple was fighting again. I was angry at that point, I wanted to sleep but I couldn’t because their noise won’t let me.
Soon, the noise died down but the sleep was nowhere to be found. I decided to take a stroll but stopped when I got to the window of my neighbor’s room. She was weeping and, she said something that touched me which goes thus “I never wanted to fight my husband but I always find myself doing so even at a slight provocation.”
My anger subsided the moment I heard my neighbor’s wife say that. Being shocked was an understatement of what I felt at that moment. I went back into my apartment to ponder on those words only for the Holy Spirit to make me understand that the enemy of a godly and peaceful home which is the devil is not relenting. #fiction#
No one ever desired an unhappy home, no one prayed for their love to go sour but then, the one who doesn’t want to see happiness and peace in homes is busy throwing arrows of fighting and disagreement into homes.
This understanding should make us ready and willing to do everything possible to ensure the devil doesn’t win the battle over our homes. First, it begins with the intentionality about having a home where Christ dwells and allowing Him to direct the ship of your marriage because that is the only way to keep the devil away from your home.
Mind you, if you want God to be in your home, you must be ready to let Him be the originator of your marriage. Begin it with Him by allowing Him to choose who you want to spend forever with then, let Him guide every one of your steps, actions, and everything that will be done in that home. Lastly, ask Him to fill you with the wisdom and knowledge to help you run your home and I believe He will answer that prayer of yours.
May the devil never find a place in our homes in Jesus’ name.
