I couldn’t take my mind off what happened today as I layed on the bed. I just kept thinking of Stella. In order to satisfy myself I called her. We talked for a while and I told her Good night.
I had fallen asleep but not too deep when a call came in. I jolted back to reality. I checked the person calling it was my mum. “What could have gone wrong again, why is she calling by this time of the night.” I thought.
I picked the call and I heard her wonderful voice. “Hello Olamide.” She called. “Mum am fine.” I replied smiling. “Mum have really missed you. But what’s wrong that you are calling by this time. I was already sleeping.” I said again.
“Nothing my son. Your Dad told me you called. So I decided to call because I missed you.” She said.
“Thanks mum.” I said. “Let me let you sleep. Goodnight my son.” “Good night mum. I love you.” I said and with that the call ended.
The bell rang indicating the closing of school. It was a Friday. I was thinking maybe I should spend the weekend with my parents. Because I was still watching our for mark.
When I called Stella in the afternoon she told me I could spend the weekend with her. I was surprised and the same time happy.
When I got home I packed the little things I would only need for the weekend in her place. I still can’t believe I will be staying at a lady’s house.
Around 6:00pm Stella came around. It wasn’t a surprise she came early today. Because it was Friday.
We chatted as we took a cab to her place. It was a 20 minutes drive to her place. She was living in a 2 bedroom flat and it was really beautiful furnished. I couldn’t stop staring. Then I thought to myself. “This weekend is going to be awesome.”
