The driver looked at me wondering what was wrong. But I paid no attention to him.

I got to my destination before sunrise. I knocked at the gate and it opened few minutes afterwards. John ushered me in and I followed him into the house.
The house was really spacious. Enough to accommodate many people.
“How was your night?” John asked
“I’ll be lieing if I told you it was fine.” I said as I sighed.
John told me I was going to stay in his room because his parents doesn’t know he is allowing someone to stay in their house.
So staying in his room will be okay. I agreed since I had no other option.
I arranger my bags in the space available in the room. Then John began a conversation.
“Are you ready to talk about it?” He asked
“Do you mean the…” I didn’t complete it and John nodded.
“I don’t know where to start. But what I know is that I didn’t do this. I am sure this is a setup.”
“What actually led to this.” He asked.
I was getting irritated.
“Why all these question. Asking me these questions won’t solve half of the problem I have now.”
“Calm down bro. I might me able to help you. Just tell me everything in details.”
“Why do you want to help me.” I asked
“I’ve been always watching you. And I know you can’t do something like this.”
What John said made me had a little relieve.
I still remember when John wanted to be friends with me but I turned him down. Because of the harsh treatment I received from mark.
Now I can see he’s a good guy.
I calmed down and told him everything that happened not missing a single detail.
“Why didn’t you tell your girlfriend?” John queried.
“She won’t believe me. I can’t just out of the blue tell her that she won’t believe me.”
“I think you right. Well, I will help you.”
“Thanks bro.” I was really touched.
“I have to get ready for school.” John said and left to have his bath.
The time was 7:45am and the sun was already shining bright.
“I’m really late I have to get going now.” John said as he hurried to the door. He made to open the door but stopped and turned his head to my direction.
“Remember no going outside. Feel at home okay.” With that he opened the door and left.
“Have a good day.” I shouted but I wasn’t sure if he heard me.
“A whole day without going out. Ridiculous.” I scoffed as I said to myself.
Luckily there was light and I sat in the sitting room to keep my eyes busy with the TV.
I was still watching when my mind drifted to Stella again.
I felt a new set of pain in me. I took my phone and went to our last chat on WhatsApp.
She was always the first person to text me everyday. I revisited our conversation from the very first beggining. The day she banged at my door.
I smiled. It’s all in the past now. “I miss you love.” I whispered.
I layed on the sofa and fell asleep.
I woke up later in the afternoon around 2:00pm. I couldn’t believe I slept that long.
I was hungry and wasn’t sure if I was allowed to go into the kitchen to take food I should’ve asked.
“Didn’t he tell me to feel at home.” I said aloud and hissed as I strolled into the kicthen.
Just then my phone rang I went into the sitting room to get my phone. The moment I saw who was calling I felt hopeful.
