I was still standing at the door. The voice continued crying for help. Out of fear I opened the door. The lady quickly rushed inside and I swiftly locked the door.

“Who was chasing you and what are you doing outside by this time.” I asked.
“I…I.” She was still shaking visibly térrified. I calmed her down and told her to have a seat. I made sure I didn’t make eye contact we her frequently.
“I was delayed at work. My boss didn’t allow anyone to leave until the work we had to do was done. I told him that our street has a curfew, that no one was allowed to be outside 10:00pm to 5:00am, but he told me those are just føølish rules.”
“When I was returning from work. I saw a group of boys all wearing masks. They were five in number,they wore black up and down and had a red cap on their head. When I saw them I began running for my life and when I knew they were getting close I had to knock on any door to save myself and luckily it was your door and you saved me.” She narrated.
“Am really sorry you went through all that. You can stay for the night and you can find your way in the morning.” I said after a brief silence.
“Thank you so much, I really appreciate.” She thanked me. “Will you be comfortable on the couch or should I bring a mat and pillow for you to sleep on.” I asked. “No the couch will be okay.” She declined.
“So what’s your name” I asked. ” Stella Anikwe.” She replied. “What a nice name you got.” I complemented. “Am Kingsley Olamide.” I introduced myself. “You also have a nice name” she said. “Thanks. Good night I really need to sleep now.” I said. “Good night.” She replied and with that I entered into my room and slept off.
