π For The Love Of Vivian EPISODE NINE: π
Instantly, fear gripped her. The fear of losing her life, the fear of ending up in one of those refrigerators.
She wanted to hide but she couldn’t find any good hiding spot.
Suddenly, she heard the door slam open.
Her heartbeat increased, beads of sweat formed on her neck and her legs were trembling. She couldn’t think straight any longer.
She ran and picked one of the knifes, her fists clenched tightly unto it.
She could hear footsteps, Linda was probably getting suspicious that someone had broken into her home. She heard Linda open her bedroom, Linda’s footsteps got feint, she was probably in her bedroom.
If she wanted to run, that would have been the perfect time.
But hell no!
As Aliyah pictured how her only daughter was probably butchered by this inhumane being, anger clouded her.
She was filled with rage and hunger for vengeance and she hid the knife behind herself. But Aliyah seemed to forget; she was not dealing with an everyday criminal.
This was a serial killer who had long been in the business.
She heard the footsteps approaching again, they were coming towards the room where Aliyah was.
There was a pause, there was no sound.
Suddenly, the door pushed open.
And Linda stood before her, holding a butcher knife in her hands.
“You rat! How did you get in here?” Linda asked fiercely.
“So you’re the one who killed my child.”
“I did NOT kill your child.”
“Then…then how do you explain those body parts in the freezers you have here,” Aliyah stuttered, she couldn’t hide the fear in her voice.
“Of course I kill, but I didn’t kill your daughter. Now, if you would calm down and drop the knife you’re hiding behind you then I will let you go.”
Aliyah shivered, how did she know?
“You must be joking, if you really think you can harm me with that thing.”
“You killed my daughter! I won’t let you go!!” Aliyah screamed, her eyes red with rage.
“Then get ready to die,” Linda said.
Immediately, Linda started walking speedily towards Aliyah, swaying the butcher knife in the air.
Fear caused Aliyah to freeze, her nerves lost function.
Linda raised the knife up in the air and in a split second, a knife came piercing through her heart.
Linda groaned in pain, she fell on her knees.
Aliyah had stabbed her.
She thrusted the knife deeper, she dragged it out and thrust it in again.
“Ahh!” Linda wailed.
“I didn’t kill your daughter,” she managed to say.
“Shut up! You liar.”
Aliyah gave Linda a heavy slap that caused her to fall backward on herself. She was bleeding seriously and at the edge of the line separating life and death.
Aliyah took the knife in Linda’s hand, and she dug it deep into her stomach and brought it out. Blood gushed out of her.
She ended it and immediately Linda’s breath ceased.
It was then Aliyah realized herself, the knife in her hand fell to ground. She had just murdered someone and she began panicking.
She hastily ran out of the room. She was already in the sitting room, about leaving when the door opened.
It was Victor.
Her cloth was stained in blood and her hands covered in red.
He looked at her suspiciously and asked, “what have you done?”
“Linda is not who you think she is, she is responsible for all the killings, she…”
“Shhh,” Victor said placing his index finger on his lips.
“So you know? Bravo! Smart woman,” he said clapping.
Aliyah was perplexed.
“It is this smartness that will lead you to early grave.”
Suddenly, a blow came landing on her head and immediately she lost consciousness.
Fifteen minutes after.
Aliyah’s eyelids were heavy, she tried opening her eyes but she felt extremely weak.
Finally, her eyes were opened.
She found herself in Linda’s bedroom, lying on the bed with her hands and legs tied.
She struggled to free herself but the ropes were too strong. Just then, her eyes met Victor standing before her.
“Awake already?”
“Let me go!” Aliyah screamed.
“Do you know why I refused to kill you that day when I had the chance?”
“Kill me? I thought you said you were nothing like that…”
“Oh I lied, alright. Maybe you you would have caught me red handed that day if not for my friend Linda who informed me that you were coming.”
“So you were working with that evil woman?”
“That woman you call evil was my only friend… whom you have now brutally murdered,” he said with a deadly stare.
“She killed my daughter,”
“She did not…we have no hand in your daughter’s death.”
“And I’m supposed to believe that?” Aliyah asked rhetorically.
“Look, I don’t care what you believe, but I’m more than glad to have you lying helpless before me.”
He smiled evilly and began laughing like a witch in the middle of the night.
“What do you want to do to me?” Aliyah fearfully asked.
“I asked you before; do you know why I refused to kill you when I had the chance?… It was because I always admired you my dear Aliyah, I admired your glowing skin, your beautiful face, your lovely smile. I loved the sweet scent that always radiated from your skin and I couldn’t help it that you look a lot like my late wife…”
“So you had a wife?”
“Yes, but she was very ill mannered. I killed her when I couldn’t take it any longer,” he said laughing hysterically.
“But that doesn’t matter, she is not as beautiful as you are, Aliyah. But it’s a shame…”
He paused.
“It’s a shame that despite your ravishing beauty, I’ll have to send you to meet your daughter after I’m done having s*x with you.”
