The door left, leaving the nurse in as she just stood in a particular spot staring at the sad man holding the hands of his unconscious woman. How sad but yet enticing to watch.
Past hurtful images came flashing back and fourth into the nurses head, images of how she lost her husband in a car accident. The way Dominic delicately caress Sarah’s wrist was how she did to her own husband before he left her all alone in this world.
Before she knew it, her eyes welled up and became watery the moment Dominic kissed her forehead warmly. Its a feeling that anticipated the air in there and she was a part of that feeling. A feeling of not wanting to lose someone but life decides it own and gives in to death.
“I wish we could just live a happy life” The nurse heard him mutter this nine thugging words and she suddenly sniffs but it got Dominic’s attention.
He glanced at her only to find her sobbing stiffly but what could he do rather than ask.
“Are you okay?” He felt concerned and immediately the nurse noticed she’s lost control, she wiped away the content rolling down her cheeks.
“Yeah… yeah” She replies softly, sniffing and still wiping off the watery content.
Dominic shook his head, he felt her anger, her pain, her whole feelings at that moment.
“You once lost someone” he said, shocking her. A fervor chuckle escaped her lips and her eyes beamed with eagerness to know how he knew.
“He was important to you?” He went on, she could feel her secret leaking away from her hold.
“He…” The nurse hesitated. “He was my husband” She was able to speak and he shrugged. He felt pity and sorry for her.
The nurse happens to be Tessa, the Lady who wad sent to kill Sarah but as she experienced the pain she had felt before in the room with Dominic and Sarah, a sudden hesitation melted her intentions away.
“I’m sorry for that” Dominic muttered and she shooks her head. He was not bad at all. All the man wanted was to love and live peacefully with his wife. Was it a sin to do so?
“I understand how you feel”
“Understanding is so underrated” She replied almost immediately and his gaze was locked on hers. She sniffed and continued.
“What is lost can’t be replaced” She avoided his gaze and turned to leave when a statement stopped her.
“Never give up” She halted on a spot. “Follow your heart” Dominic said with hope and she shrugged before walking out. The door swung closed afterwards.
It was nightfall already and Sarah was still unconscious but when it seems that all hope was lost then, a statement he made earlier to someone came recurring into his head.
“Never give up”

He smiles at himself as he was about falling asleep and his phone rang.
He tucked it out and looked into the screen — it was Flash calling. He didn’t feel like answering so he disconnected the call, letting out a lungful of air.
“Sarah” he calls softly.
“What’s keeping you so long?”

Dominic quickly opened his eyes and that was when he realised he had fallen asleep and that it was morning already.
He glanced at Sarah but was disappointed to see that she was still unconscious. Could it be she has gotten into a coma state or what?
The doctor came in immediately and was curious when he didn’t find the nurse he left in charge.
“Good morning Mr Dominic” The doctor greeted and Dominic riverted to the doctor. In the doctor’s hands was a tray of Syringes. Was those all for her? Dominic thoughts.
“Where’s the nurse?” The doctor asked and he furrowed.
“What nurse?” He replied with a question and the door puzzled.
“The nurse I left in charge of her medications last night”
And Dominic jolted back.
“Oh… she left” The doctor puzzled more.
“She left?” The doctor asked to be sure of what he heard and Dominic solemnly shook his head.

“I’m not sure I can permit that” The doctor insisted on heeding to Tessa’s plan. Her plan was to disguise herself as a nurse and then be assigned as the nurse in charge of Sarah’s medications for the night so as to poison her.
The doctor still disaggregated to her heeding mass of pleading. It was an act punishable to the law and Mr Dominic was going to find out if that happens.
“How about a million dollar for the price” Her inquiry made the doctor halt immediately, shocked and still protesting between his own conscience.
Tessa smirked coldly as she watched the troubled and Protestant doctor frozen on his spot.
“The government doesn’t even pay such amount” she said, tempting him more on heeding to the inquiry and he turned around still wearing an overcasted protesting look on his face.
“Agreed?” She smirked coldly and the doctor gritted his teeth.
“Be quick” The doctor groans before leaving and a dark smile parted on her lips.
“Is anything the problem?” On hearing Dominic’s question, the doctor snapped and jolted.
