Dominic was startled. His eyes scanning the ground as he tries to find her by her scent and her heartbeat.
Her heartbeat was gradually slowing down and he found where she was buried. His gaze traveled straight to a shovel placed at a tree corner and he grabbed it and began to dig.
He dug and dug until the shovel made contact with something. He uses his hands to make the view clear and it was a wine painted coffin.
Her heartbeat is getting slower with each seconds and she could barely breath. Dominic quickly opened the coffin and saw her tranquility enrolling her face. She was turning pale.
“Sarah! Sarah. Open your eyes!” He hurriedly said, tapping her cheeks but her eyes were closed. She wasn’t responding to his voice. He checked her pulse but it was weak and her breath shudders unsteadiness in her nosestrills.
“She’s not a vampire yet” he said in thoughts as he stares at her beautiful and tranquil body. If she was a vampire, she wouldn’t have any sound of heartbeat.
Her heart stopped immediately and his eyes widened. “Sarah?” He muttered. His unsteady breath called her name twice more but she was still calm. Dominic had no control over the raging tears rolling down his cheeks as he cried deep inside him.
Celestial chuckled evilly from where he was crawling and weak.
“She’s finally dead” he muttered. “He’s finally broken again. How sweet”
Dominic sobs. Celestial manages to stand on his foot. Dominic’s gaze never leaving Sarah’s body. He was deeply wounded. Angry at himself. Mad at himself for allowing her die again.
In a blur of darkness, Celestial’s head fell off his body and he turned into ashes and was blown into thin air.
Dominic appeared in front of Sarah, squats down and carried her body in his hands like a bridal Queen but actually a dead one.
His tears couldn’t stop rolling down his cheeks. He was pale and was wallowing in his rage and anger.
He carried her body and he stood unseeing to the waterfall. He stood at the cliff and had his eyes fixed on her cold and tranquil body.
“I’ll always love you”
“Stop it! Stop!” Sarah’s laughing voices echoed in his head as all the time they spent together came recurring back into his head.
He could feel the emptiness inside of her body. Just then a particular scene recurred into his head.
“What happens when I die?” Sarah asked, her eyes glaring deep into his as he smiled thinly.
They were on his big comfortable and wide mahogany bed. They were facing each other as they laid down.
“I can’t let it happen” Dominic muttered and she chuckled. She was just turned into a vampire a night earlier before.
“I know, but…” she paused, beaming at him. “But what if I did die?” She asked.
Dominic friwned. “Why are you asking me this?” He shrugged.
“Just be nice and answer Mr cold heart” She scolded and he sighed deeply.
“I’d sacrifice myself to bring you back to life” Dominic’s reply surprised her.
Sarah sat up.
“You’ll give up your power to bring me back to life?” She asked in surprise and Dominic chuckled softly as he sits up, staring deep into her eyes.
“I will give up everything just to make you live. Even if it is my life” he stunned her more. And then he kissed her, falling ontop each other and making love throughout the night.
Dominic smiled at the quick flashback of that loving and emotional moment and it tugs him at the heartstrings.
He stared at her for some moment before gazing up at the full moon in the sky. Its light shone on them and he took in a deep breath.
Was he really going to sacrifice everything he has just to bring her back. Bringing her back means he would give up his life for her and thereby fill up the space in death for her sake.
The bite was the only way he could bring her back — it is called the LOVES BITE!
‘A bite that takes life and also give life’ Dominic was ready to give her the bite and his life would be taken in return.
He looked her her tranquil body once more, sobbing.
“I’m sorry…” his voice said, he was sobbing.
“I’m sorry but you have to live” he went on. The bite could only bring Sarah back but not give her the vampire powers back.
