π€· Enemies Of Your Marriage:
ENEMIES OF YOUR MARRIAGE.
My spiritual sisters and I went for a prison outreach, and in the course, I had a strong urge to preach to a particular man. I moved closer to him, greeted him, and began to preach the salvation message to him when he cut me short by saying he already had an encounter with Christ even before he was brought into the prison.
Being shocked was an understatement of what I felt. Out of curiosity, I asked what brought him to the prison, and he wasted no time in narrating how he slapped his wife, which led to her death. He went on to explain that his best friend called him one day to tell him that he saw his wife go into a hotel room with another man. He ran home to meet his wife, but he was too angry to listen to her; he slapped her so hard when she tried to defend herself, she hit her head on the wall and became unconscious, she died some days later, and her family got him arrested.
When his best friend got wind of the situation, he said his wife never went to a hotel with another man. He just framed her because he was jealous of the fact that his friend was happily married while he was unlucky with relationships. #fiction#
If there is one thing I have come to understand about life, it is the fact that not everyone who claims to be happy for you truly are. That is why you have to be careful with who you discuss the issue of your marriage with and who gives you marital advice. So many people are going through tough marital issues, and seeing you enjoy marital bliss can trigger jealousy in them.
A Yoruba adage will say, “When your yam is ready for harvest, you ought to cover it with your clothes” This implies there are things you don’t reveal about your marriage to the general public, there are things you need to keep private to keep the eyes of the wicked ones away from your marriage because the enemy will never let a happy home be.
Also, when you are going through a tough phase in your marriage, the Holy Spirit is the right candidate to talk to. He has been sent to help us, and He will tell you all you need to do. Before you tell anyone anything, inquire from the Holy Spirit if you should do so or not because not everyone is mature enough to handle the issues of your marriage.
Finally, stay close to God and be prayerful because only God can help you overcome the hurdles in marriage. May our marriages not get destroyed in Jesus’ name. Amen.
