π« Cacophonous Melody Episode Thirty Four: π
While Samantha, Drake and Patricia were catching and getting caught, Bruce and his wife were battling with Ulomaβs voice and tΓ΄rments.
Since they returned from Tafekoβs shrine, the young couple have been going from one trouble to another.
At first, Bruce imagined that he was now totally free from the effects of the evΓ―l birdβs attΓ ck on him, but he was actually not entirely free because he was later told that there were sacrifices he needed to make, every month, to keep Ozongeβs blΕΓ΅d from troubling him.
After Doctor Jude confirmed that the wound was now strangely healed, Bruce returned home happily with his wife, and didnβt take it to heart that Ulomaβs voice was disturbing his wife that night.
βDo not be perturbed my love. We will overcome this too, it will only be a matter of timeβ he assured his wife, hugging her tightly to himself, to console her.
They had made passionate love after returning from the village, and hoped to sleep peacefully, but Uloma wasnβt about to let a descendant of Onyema have the peace a tΓ²rture free night would give her.
Her voice kept ringing all through the night, even though Bruce tried so hard to keep his wife from worrying about it.
Tracy was feeling better after two nights with her husband, because unlike what she had expected, he was willing to take on Uloma with her.
But after the third day of the sleepless nights, Bruce spoke to one of his favourite Aunts, and arrangements were made for them to see a prophet for solutions.
Bruce wasnβt particularly worried about the issue of him having to make a monthly sacrifice for his own case to remain settled, in fact, he wasnβt planning to make any sacrifice because he didnβt see how the wound that was already so okay, would require any extra efforts.
He was more concerned about his wife, so that morning, he prepared hurriedly, to see the great prophet his Aunt recommended.
They arrived the prophetβs church premises about two hours after they left their house, having driven for about one hour and forty five minutes to their destination.
The prophet welcomed them dramatically, ushering them into a place he called a sacred chamber, away from the main church auditorium.
He began to dance to an obviously discordant sound that only he could hear, as he brandished a metallic cross in his hand, in different directions.
βJah Jehovah! Holy! Angel Micah, Angel Uriel! Hmmmm, Jah Jehovah!β the long bearded and white robbed man screΓ med as he danced around the place he had decorated with some white and red pieces of cloth.
The candles of different colours on the table continued to burn, and the bells on the rope he tied to his waist, were chiming loudly, while he danced and hopped around in his altar.
βIs he going to talk to us today?β Bruce asked, looking at his wrist watch impatiently.
They had been sitting quietly, waiting for him to address them, but the prophet seemed to have already teleported to a different realm.
Bruce knew he needed to be patient and wait the man out, but expected the man to get tired of screΓ ming the same line over and again, for over thirty minutes.
βQuiet Bruce, youβre going to put us in a whole lot of trouble if you make him hear what youβre sayingβ Aunt Benita whispered, truly afraid of the dreaded prophet.
Bruce made to speak again, but the prophet began to laugh cacophonously, as he turned around to face them.
He had his back to Bruce and the two women with him while Bruce talked with his Aunt, so Bruce was shocked when he turned around and told him all that he had been doing behind his back.
Bruce was more startled to hear the man telling them about what brought them to his church and how that Tracy was under a cursè that may not go away, unless he did what he had to do
βYour wife is under severe attΓ ck from a grieved spirit who isnβt ready to let her go, not even if she cries all the tears in her eyes
“As we speak, her mother is about to lose her marriage, and if care is not taken, no matter what you do, your marriage will also crash because of the chain reaction
“Make hay while the sun shines. Make hay! Make hay!!!β the prophet screΓ med, staggering as he spoke.
βPlease help us daddy. What can we do to silence this voice? My nephewβs wife has been going through a lot for so long and I know you alone can help us outβ Aunt Benita begged the prophet.
The prophet made some more dramatic moves, before he began to list the items they were required to bring for the special prayers.
Tracy remained silent, as her husband and his Aunt bargained with the prophet on what itβd cost them to have him get them the materials he listed, since they had no way of getting an alligatorβs testicles nor buying a young lionβs heart.
When they left the prophetβs church, Bruce had parted with a good sum of money, and had agreed to have his wife return to the church the following night, for spiritual bath and prayers.
At the appointed time the next day, Bruce drove his wife to the church, and was shocked that the prophet insisted that he left his wife behind, for the whole night.
βYou will come back for her tomorrow morning, because I am the only human who can be present while she gets delivered from the bondage of this malicious and vengeful spirit.
βBy midnight, she will take the cleansing bath, then we will proceed to tie the spirit of that Uloma foreverβ the prophet told Bruce.
And because Tracy was despΓͺrate, she agreed to what the man said, and persuaded her husband to go home.
Bruce gave her a hug, and stepped out of the church, in supposed absolute obedience to what the prophet said.
The clock chimed 12 midnight, and the prophet who had been burning incense and different colours of candles, approached Tracy, threw a white piece of cloth to her, and asked her to change into it.
Tracy obediently did as she was told, and walked out to meet the prophet, who was already bearing different objects in his hands.
He asked her to pull off her shoes, and follow him barefooted. Then he began to walk in dramatic steps again, towards the beach beside his church.
When Tracy finished doing everything he asked her to do, as per the spiritual bathing, they began to walk back to the church auditorium.
Tracy sat on the floor, and waited for the next instruction to know what to do.
βTake this. Pour all of them in your mouth at onceβ he instructed her, and Tracy swallow everything in the cup in hurry, just as she had been told to.
βWhy am I suddenly so dizzy? What is happening to me?β Tracy murmured as she fought to stay awake, but she was gradually getting pulled into a deep slumber.
She felt her body getting too heavy to remain seated, and realized that she was slowly falling back, until she felt her back on the floor
In the very last moment before sleep took her away, Tracy saw the prophet standing over her and smiling mischievously as he began to unfasten the rope he girded his gown with.
His propagator was already pushing his white garment bΓ£dly, and as soon as he lifted the gown, the fully charged front tail, came to full glare, pointing at Tracy in eager anticipation for what lay ahead of him, that night.
The prophet wasn’t wearing anything under the garment, and from what Tracy felt before she became unconscious, he was already stripping her of her panties
βOh Bruce, why didnβt you let me to die the day I planned to end it allβ she cried in her heart, as she felt the man pushing her legs apart to position himself between them, when he had successfully pulled off her panties
“Easy pretty. What you have taken will make you sleep so soundly, and you won’t even recall that this happened” the prophet told Tracy, then he was pushing his weΓ pon of friendly assΓ₯ult, to gain entrance to her gateway to bliss
