ππ Birthday Present Part Seven:
“This is more serious than we are thinking it is. It’s not just about removing the necklace it’s about separating her from the power inside the necklace” My sister said.
My husband and I were sitting in her small but comfortable sitting room with cups of untouched drinks in front of us. She was discharged from the hospital days back but her broken hand was still in a cast.
“That means we should find a man of God a strong one” My husband suggested.
“I know the perfect one for this” she unplugged her phone from the charger and started scrolling the screen.
“A colleague in my work place had a spiritual husband that wouldn’t give her peace but once she contacted this man, everything went” she said her eyes still searching her phone.
“So how can we get to this man?” o asked her.
“I’m looking for my colleague’s number she’ll give us the contact of the prophet”
Five minutes later, she spoke with her colleague. We were given the contact of the prophet and a date was set for the deliverance.
Before the prophet attended to us we were made to pay a sum of two hundred and fifty thousand. My husband transferred the money immediately because we needed to deliver our daughter very fast.
We were taken into a room which doubled as the Prophet’s office and store room for many spiritual items.
“Hmm they want to destroy your daughter” the prophet said after praying with us.
If Hephzibah heard what he said she didn’t show it.
“What can we do about it prophet?” I inquired.
“She is destined to be a doctor, she is the star In the family and they want her to be destroyed” The prophet continued ignoring me.
On hearing that statement concerning her Hephzibah looked from me to her father with one eyebrow raised.
I knew what she was thinking, Hephzibah was more interested in arts than science. So there was a huge hole in that prophecy.
We were given spiritual items to drink and bathe with but no physical Deliverance was done.
Even with all the plenty things that the prophet gave us nothing changed
In fact she became more toxic than she was before, it was as if the spiritual items were feeding her toxicity.
In the recent developments we had to lock Hephzibah in a room because we couldn’t control her anymore. She had learnt all the blank spots of the CCTV camera so it was nearly impossible to monitor her.
We also had to stop her from going to school because not a single day passed without a call from her school reporting what she had done to other students.
I was fed up, tired, desperate and frustrated.
Now I was sitting on a bench outside the house taking some fresh air to clear my head when Jasmine came to me.
“Do you want to buy something?” She asked, her voice was so loud and tiny it rang in my head.
“Jasmine can you leave mummy alone I’m trying to rest” I told her.
She looked like she wanted to cry. Where are these maids for goodness sake?.
“Oya I will buy something, what are you selling”
She blushed and presented an Imaginary tray to me.
“I’m selling fruits, banana and mango” she said trying to imitate the street hawkers.
“I will buy one mango”
“Do you even have money?”
“No” I shook my head.
“Ok wait” she opened the purse hanging across her shoulder and gave me a hard purple cardboard. Anything purple irks me these days because it reminded me of Hephzibah’s necklace.
I was about to give it back to her when something on the cardboard caught my eye. A faint drawing of a pendant was on it.
And not just any pendant, it was the same pendant on Hephzibah’s necklace.
I asked Jasmine where she got it from and she confirmed my thoughts.
She had take it from the box which Hephzibah’s necklace came in.
I turned the cardboard over and there was an address written on the back.
I am going to free my daughter.
