Elvis’ POV
After she had finished enjoying the sumptuous meal, she still insisted I teach her as we both have agreed.
Well, I had no room for denying that I will not. She dragged me to the kitchen and asked me to start the tutorial immediately.
I asked her to bring out a loaf of bread, Avocado, spoon, onion, egg, and freshly leaf herb.
She made the availability of above ingredients and was at ease to learn.
I asked her to bring out a slice of bread, removed the pit from the avocado and use a big spoon to scoop out the flesh.
“Then, what next should I do again?”, Maria asked smiling copiously.
“Spread the avocado on top of the bread. Fry the egg and place it on top of the avocado. After which you slice the onion and spread it on top of the toast”, I said with a grimace.
“I have done that already. What next is required?”, Maria asked.
“Nothing else than that. At the end of this, you have your avocado toast”, I remarked.
“Wow! Rhis so good and nice. Avocado toast here am I”, Maria enthused.
She appreciated me for my kind gesture of teaching her how to make avocado toast.
She even promised take me out to the cinema to see some trending films in town just released by the Hollywood.
I was flattered at when my auditory sensed to this. To some extent, it seems to be a night mare, but it was emphatically reality.
My heart leaped with great joy, for someone who has been avoiding me is now my best friend.
Maria of all people, who doesn’t tolerate other people’s action is now a lover of mankind.
After her siesta, she took her bath and told me she wanna see her boyfriend.
“I will right be back shortly Elvis. Go have your shower and wear your clothes”, Maria said walking out the foyer.
Evelyn’s Pov
It was really a cold evening, the cold
breeze from the Atlantic ocean was blowing towards the southern regions.
Raymond was in the living room watching the television news. Suddenly, the door buzzer rang. I walked towards the door projection to open it.
Behold it was Maria, she walked in and said “hello” to me.
I was irritated by her presence and wished never seeing her again.
“Hey! What are you doing here?”, I asked.
“Well, of course I’m here to see my man. I mean the one who mean so much to me than any other person”, Maria gesticulated.
“It seems you gone nuts. Your senses are absolutely shattered and misused”, I said with a frown.
She by passed me and went to see Raymond upstairs. When she left, I accompanied her to see her intention of seeing Raymond.
I quickly climaxed my duty and was up to watch out the return of Maria in my fiance’s room.
She tried kissing him, but Raymond rebuffed her amorous antics. She wasn’t happy at Raymond’s action towards her.
“Raymond why acting strange these days. I really love you. As for that whippersnapper, she’s here to lavish your wealth, nothing more”, Maria said.
“Come on Maria, I’m betrothed to Evelyn. I don’t just wanna disobey my father’s instruction”, Raymond replied.
“I can see you have selfishly chosen her over me, but I pray you realise this very soon”, Maria bawled.
After trying to persuade Raymond not to turn his back on her, all seemed to be abortive, and she left in great disappointment.
Maria’s Pov
I returned to see Elvis waiting impatiently at the the balcony.
My blue eyes were brim with tears due to what Raymond did to me. I was wondering why he chose Evelyn over me.
Elvis noticed the tears which was about dripping down my cheeks. He quickly inquired about what made me cry.
“See Elvis, I truly love him and I can’t stop seeing him anymore. But he chose another woman over me”, I said crying.
“Sorry ma’am, I know how you feel. You will finally meet your match.
Someone who will love you to the detriment of your satisfaction”, Elvis consoled.
We hired a cab which took us to the movie cinema.
When we both arrived, we paid the entry fee at the gate and were given access to the movie cinema hall.
I held him and we sat at the same place. The first movie was definitely amusing and humourous.
After few seconds, I realised that Elvis wasn’t laughing at the particular sense which causes everybody to laugh out their ribs.
“Why are you not laughing Elvis?”, I asked.
He was flabbergasted when I asked him. And he was unable to provide me with an appropriate answer to my question.
I could notice that he was thinking. His mind was else where.
“Elvis just cheer up please. Let’s have fun indeed. We can discuss that later at home”, I said.
That was when he began to play along according to the amusing actions.
Elvis’ Pov
I didn’t wanna open up to Maria. I was feeling so much in love with her.
Just to keep the serenity on going. I decided to shun the feelings for now.
She was really happy and excited. The moment she took me out of the hall, she told me that we should be going since I’m not feeling well.
I was surprised, but I was still bewildered of her arrogance and aggressiveness.
At home, she began asking me what the problem was.
“Elvis I wasn’t impressed by your countenance. What really was wrong with you out there?”, Maria inquired.
“I was just feeling bored”, I said.
“Oh my gosh! Come on, even when you were still with me out there. No Elvis I can’t believe it”, Maria uttered.
“I’m definitely saying the truth ma’am”, I responded.
“No probs, so according to our menu what do we care for as our dinner this evening?”, Maria asked.
“Burger”, I replied.
