Desmond’s POV
The drizzling rain had just stopped and everywhere became cold and moist. I was still in my office till noon, as I prepared for climaxing the work for the day.
I got a call from my human resource manager that one Mr Roger wanna see me. I permitted him to allow him come in.
“Good day Sir”, Mr Roger saluted.
“Same, how can I help you Mr Roger”, I asked.
At first, he didn’t wanna say anything about his intentions of coming to my office.
“Don’t you know me Mr Desmond, or has your vision blurred?”, Mr Roger bawled.
“Hey, you are in my office remember? Abusing me in my own office is highly prohibited”, I yelled back at him.
“I don’t bloody have any time to waste. I’m here for my brother’s will”, Mr Roger said.
“Your brother, willed what you have heard and seen to me because of how our friendship had been”, I replied.
“Knowing who my late brother was to you and how you both related isn’t my course of coming here”, Mr Roger articulated.
“Then what if I say I do not know you sir, leave my office. Tell me, how would you feel?”, I asked him.
“Then what I would have done doesn’t needs explaination”, Mr Roger fired back.
“In reference to your demand, I’m not giving out any thing to you, because your brother willed those things to me before he died”, I elucidated.
“Mr Desmond, you won’t like what am going to do. You’re daring my patience . Not also, don’t cause me to erupt like a volcano, cause my molten magma will be dangerous to you”, Mr Roger muttered with an awkward countenance.
“It seems I have tolerated enough of you for today. Now Mr Roger, leave my office”, I yelled.
“I will be back in three days time. Get ready to face my negative actions, failure to comply”, Mr Roger exaggerated.
He stood up and left immediately, while I kept on analysing for the day’s conclusion.
Roger’s Pov
Human beings are always in the condition of anarchy. We like things by violence and hate peace. We believe in perpetual peace than the right set of peace.
Mr Desmond didn’t know the kind of person I am, what I exhibit and what I can do.
He didn’t know that my venom is more poisonous than that of the python, hmm. For the fact that he is with my brother’s property means that he’s indebted to me.
I became troubled in my spirit as willing to definitely strike, but I was waiting for my patience to keep driving me till I finally submit.
How will he be in custody of my brother’s property and be telling me he was willed to him by my brother? Huh?
I arrived home to meet my daughter waiting for me.
“Hi dad, welcome back”, Evelyn said.
“Thanks my angel. You’re welcome too”, I gesticulated.
“Hey Bonnie, go upstairs and make me bacon, eggs and cheese sandwich served on hard roll”, I said to Bonnie, my chef.
Then I went upstairs to get off my clothes at the spot and returned immediately.
“So, my angel tell me about your visit here. You know it has been quite a long time since you last visited”, I inquired.
“Just here to see you and mom, it has also been a while, ever since I set my eyes on you guys”, Evelyn said.
“Yeah, we are all doing good and all the same thanks to our creator for making it to be so”, I uttered with a smirk.
“That reminds me, where’s mom? I haven’t set my eyes on her since my arrival?”, Evelyn inquired.
“Oh yes, she had gone out to see a family member in town”, I enunciated.
I further asked her about Maria the girl who had been seeing her fiance all hugger-mugger.
“Raymond has broken up with her, and that is how it all ended”, she replied, and I smiled nodding my head.
“Now you’re happy, you now have your man to yourself and no more fighting with another lady over what belongs to you”, I said amusingly.
“Yes dad, that is all what every woman expects their union to look like”, Evelyn tittered.
Shortly after, the food was ready and we both went upstairs to enjoy ourselves.
Maria’s Pov
After Raymond had broken up with me, I couldn’t even cope any longer, as I was being surrounded by the aura of the event.
I managed to eat and sometimes, I barely eat. I never wished that the Raymond I had known for a year now would do this to me.
I wish I was with him. This was even the time I needed him most, but he pushed me away.
I know he didn’t do this on his own will, someone must have pushed him to do such to me.
It was no any other person than Evelyn or her father, Mr Roger. This man was so heartless and wicked to deal with people who are always against his wicked deeds.
I guessed his daughter was now enjoying her relationship with Raymond without disturbance of any kind, while I was subjected to pains and regret.
If not for Elvis who had been depriving me of loneliness and sometimes make me feel happy.
He was really fun to be with. I wished he was rich, I wouldn’t have wait to tell him how much I love him.
Come to think of, how will my contemporaries regard me or my friends see me dating a cabby who is now my chef. It really doesn’t make sense at all, ahh.
Sometimes I wonder where he gets his nice wears, trousers, and shoes. In which his salary of two months time can’t even afford.
During one occasion, I had asked him about how he got the new expensive T-shirt he had worn with a wrist watch.
He told me he bought the T-shirt with his monthly allowance and his friend bought him the wrist watch.
Well, since I didn’t wanna involve myself in any checks and balances on him, I decided to focus my life on the love of tomorrow I kept searching for, I never wanted to be heart broken any more.
