(Attracted To Him No Matter What)
𧑠NIKKY π§‘
I looked at the wall clock and it was like the time was flying intentionally. The day was running very fast and tomorrow would be here in no time.
I stood up to look outside the window, I saw no traces of Danny nor Teo. I felt broken, but the other part of me kept telling me that I wasn’t alone.
I wanted to sit when I saw a lady come our from nowhere. She began to approach the men. She had this confident look that kept me thinking who she was.
I mean, why would she be so bold to approach when with guns in their hands. They stopped her and she looked in through the window were our eyes met.
She smiled at me and I knew she was probably someone sent to me by Danny. They began to question her, making me hundred percent sure she wasn’t part of them.
I walked out of the living room and stood at the frontage. I didn’t know her name so I didn’t know what to call her.
“Nikky! Won’t you come greet your best friend?” She asked opening her arms and I ran to her hugging her tightly.
“Priscilla.” She whispered that I could hardly hear her.
“Priscilla, I missed you so much.” I said before disengaging and looking at the men.
“She is my best friend. She is here to stay with me for some hours. You can search her, then we will go in together.” I said and the men asked one man to search her.
They began to search her, and she had a smile on her face. I guess she didn’t have anything on get after all.
“She is clean.” He said and they made way for us to go in. I walked into the living room holding her hands and as we got in, I shut the door letting her hand go.
“Hi, who are….” I asked but she cut me short.
“Priscilla. Teo’s girlfriend. Danny’s friend” She said and my mouth curved into an “oh”. She reached for my body and began to search me.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“To make sure you have nothing that could implicate on or in your body, I want to continue my introduction.” She said and I shook my head.
“No I don’t have any. The one Danny used on me, I got rid of it. I suspected they would know sooner or later. So to be on the safe side,I had to let it go.” I said and she smiled.
“That’s nice of you. I was a solider. Ex-millitary.” She said and i smiled.
“Wow that’s cool. They sent you here to take me?” I asked and she shook her head.
“Came to see if there are any other changes since they left yesterday.” She said picking up her phone.
“Who are you calling?” I asked.
“Danny. Just stay cool okay? It will be fine.” She said and I nodded feeling a little safe.
“Still ten men, all armed, yet to sight the last one. The lady. Nikky is in good health condition, guess she is missing you too.” She said to the phone and I smiled.
Immediately I saw her contenance change and she began to laugh.
“Seriously? a night party? With huge guys? Trust me, I will be there. Nikky, you wish to come?” She asked dropping the phone and I looked at her in great confusion.
“No she isn’t going.” I heard Delilah reply from behind. Then I understood why she changed the topic. She is damn wise.
“Hey. You look beautiful.” Priscilla said approaching Delilah.
“Thanks. Who are you?” She replied in a very cold manner.
“I am Nikky’s best friend. Tonia. And you? What’s your name?” She asked.
“You don’t need to know.” She replied walking into the living room.
“I really want to know. I need more beautiful ladies as friends you know. You are one beautiful lady, can’t let you slip off my hand.” Priscilla said and I saw Delilah smile.
“Fine. I am Delilah.” She replied and Priscilla jumped for joy.
“She told me her name!!” She said looking at me and clapping. I smiled watching the drama she was performing already.
“So Delilah, can we know ourselves more?” She asked sitting next to her.
“Maybe.” Delilah replied looking at me.
“Nikky come here too. We are the three beautiful heros now. I will pour us whiskey.” Priscilla said approaching the bar.
I sat next to them too and I my eyes and that of Delilah met.
“You must really like her.” She said and I nodded.
“That’s why she is my bestie. I tell her most of the things happening in my life, because I know she will always make me happy. She is a clown.” I said and for the very first time she smiled.
“Did you tell her about Martin too?” She asked and I kept mute thinking about what to say.
“No,not yet. She just dropped by.” I replied and she nodded.
Priscilla approached us and dropped the three cups in front of us.
“Let’s cheer to a beautiful friendship.” She said raising up one of the cups.
“Wow, she was so good at acting.” I though picking up my own cup. We looked at Delilah and we saw she stared at the cup.
“Delilah come on. I know this isn’t right to say but I would say it. You have been sad for a long time now,you have been alone. We are here to make you happy. No matter what’s happening, we will scale through. Your daughter should know her mother as an happy person.” I said and she smiled picking up the cup.
“Yipi!!” Priscilla said as we cheered, taking a sip from the cup.
“So we should know Delilah more right?” Priscilla asked and I nodded smiling widely.
“That’s not a good idea.” Delilah said sadly.
“C’mon Delilah, this is a woman to woman thing. Whatever you feel or have felt, we understand it okay? We all have our past. We just tend to move on. Okay, I will start from myself.” Priscilla said and we both nodded.
“I am Tonia, and I sell bedding down the street. I love huge and handsome men.” She said and we bursted into laughter.
“Any husband?” Delilah asked and she shook her head.
“No. But I had a child. She died.” Delilah said and I looked at her in great pity.
“I am so sorry.” Delilah and I said and she nodded smiling.
“It’s in the past. Your turn now Delilah.” She said and I shifted my gaze to her.
“I’m Delilah. I deal with drugs and trafficking. A single mother of one.” She said sighing and bowing her head.
I looked at Priscilla and she reached for her hand holding it.
“It’s fine Delilah. I won’t condemn you, you needed to do what you thought was right for your daughter.” Priscilla said and she shook her head.
“I need saw this as right. I have always wanted a simple life for my daughter, but I find myself in this mess.” She said in tears.
“I can help you.” Priscilla said and she removed her hand from hers, standing up.
“Don’t try to. You will get yourself killed.” She said walking out of the living room. I sighed and looked at Priscilla who also looked at me.
“I feel for her. She needs help.” I said and she nodded staring outside the window.
