ROMEOβS MANSION
βYay! I scored again!!β Alvin rejoiced after scoring another goal.
Him and Juliet were both at the garden, playing soccer since Alvin had no classes today.
βYouβre really good at itβ Juliet picked the ball and walked to him.
βI really wish I had a mom who would play with me this wayβ Alvin smiled.
βReally?β Juliet sat down on the swing.
βYeah! On the norms Iβm supposed to be sulking right now, just the way I do every year. You know tomorrow is my birthday, the day my mom left usβ Alvin smiled sadly
βIβm sorryβ Juliet patted her hair.
βIβm sure dad is in his room drinking and each time he does that, he always hurt himself. Can you help him too?β Alvin held her hand.
Juliet sighed.
βAlvin, you know I and your dad donβt really see eye to eyeβ Juliet said
βPlease Best dudeβ Alvin muttered, at the verge of tears.
Juliet sighed and nodded.
βIβll tryβ She said and Alvin smiled then hugged her.
Juliet left him then walked in the house. A naughty grin formed on Alvinβs lips.
βI wonder why itβs taking time for them to fall in loveβ He thought inwardly.
Juliet stopped in front of Romeoβs room then brought her hand up to knock but paused and brought it back down.
βWhy Iβm I even doing thisβ Juliet groaned and gently knocked.
The door opened, revealing Romeo. He had a sour look on his face as he looked at her blankly.
βWhat?β He asked and as expected, Juliet could perceive the odor of alcohol when he spoke.
βIβ¦ Came to keep you companyβ Juliet muttered, looking away.
βI donβt-β
Before Romeo could finish speaking, Juliet already walked in. Romeo sighed and closed the door then walked to the cellar to resume drinking.
βCool room, I bet this room is the size of my houseβ Juliet said with her hands in his pocket, walking boyishly
βIβm not in the moodβ Romeo muttered, pouring himself a glass.
He made to drink it but Juliet held his hand, stopping him.
βItβs really unhealthy to drink this wayβ Juliet said.
βYouβre not my mum. Nor myβ¦ wifeβ Romeo said the last statement slowly.
Juliet shrugged and sat down on the stool opposite him.
βIf thatβs so then Iβm drinking with you thenβ Juliet said and poured the liquor in the glass.
Romeo ignored her then resumed drinking. Each time heβll pour a glass, Juliet will do same.
It took just 30 minutes for both of them to be drunk. Juliet stood up from the stool and staggered back.
She removed the coat of the suit she was wearing then tossed it off, dragging her tie loose.
βWhy is everybody dancing?!β Juliet staggered up, her eyes wavering.
βWhy did you drink with me.. Thought you hate meβ Romeo asked and hiccuped.
βOf course I hate you! But a painful or sad moment shared becomes less painfulβ Juliet giggled.
Romeo giggled too.
βShe was really my everything. We had plans of growing old together and make so many memories. Each time I see Alvin crying because of how his friends bvlly him it just breaks me moreβ Romeo said.
