A bicycle fell beside the river, and without thinking twice about it, someone jumped in immediately.
He started swimming fast towards echo, his face became clearer and clearer as he got closer, and when it became totally clear, it turned out to be Tyler.
He found her, already unconscious as her dress danced around in the water. He got hold of her and carried her in a bridal style, before swimming out, and dropping her gently on the shore.
“Hey Echo!, Echo!” Tyler called and attached his lips with hers. He began blowing hair in her mouth, performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Echo’s skin was as white as snow, her lips out of color and her hair was all tangled. Tyler blew more air into her mouth, and in two seconds, echo vomited water, splashing it all over his face.
Echo opened her eyes slowly, and when she saw the birds flying in the sky, her eyes widened.
‘Why am i alive?, Aren’t i supposed to be déad!” She wondered, taking sharp breaths as she sat up, and that was when she felt a shadow over her.
She turned swiftly and met with tyler’s glaring gaze, which sent cold shivers down her spine.
“TJ?? Did you save me??. Why did you save me??….i never asked you to. You could have just passed by, without interfering in other people’s business” Echo shot him a fiery glare.
Tyler ignored her and walked back to his bike. He boarded it and made to ride away, but echo caught his hand, stopping him on his movements.
“You haven’t answered my question yet. Why did you save me?? Why!!!!!” She released his hand and he immediately withdrew it. He gave her a soul piercing gaze and cleared his throat.
“Do i really have to answer that question??. Just get out of my way, i have better things to do than to have a conversation with an ingrate” Tyler hissed and rode off, leaving echo to herself.
“Wait…” Echo held her head and tried to get his attention, but he was already out of sight. She staggered and slumped on the floor, as she remembered what her father’s déad body looked like as it later on the hospital bed.
…..FLASHBACK: THE CAMPBELLS 3:30 P.M
Echo walked into the house, with a bright smile on her face. She returned early from francisco’s place, beause he shifted the date for the assignment and asked for them to meet in a public place.
She sniffed in the air, and immediately started drooling when she perceived the scent of Turkey. It’s one of her favourites…so she goes çrazy for it.
“Turkey….” Echo ran into the kitchen, but was surprised to see it frying by itself. She checked the rooms, the bathrooms, outside…. everywhere. Neither her mother, nor her sisters were anywhere around the house.
“Where could they have gone to without telling me??” She brought out her Nokia 3310 phone, and dialed her mother’s number. It went straight to voicemail.
She began to get worried, to the extent that she started to sweat all over. Without giving it much thoughts, she rushed outside, but accídently bumped into somebody.
“Am so sorry sir” She apologized, as she recognized him to be her next-door neighbor.
“My deepest condolences. I just heard the news. It’s so devastating…so sad!” The man cried and echo’s brows creased up in confusion. The man saw it, and palmed his lips as he realized that he just made a mistake by telling her first.
“What are you talking about?? Did someone díe??” Echo bombarded him with so many questions, her eyes already starting to get glassy.
“I thought you knew about it, am sorry to be the one to break this sad news to you. Your father just passed away…he couldn’t survive the heart attack” He broke the news, and echo felt sánity leaving her immediately.
“Taxi!” She waved as she got to the gate. She entered the vehicle, and the driver drove off in an instant. Echo threw her head against the soft leather seat, bit her lips and could only sob.
“Where to ma’am??” The driver asked. She turned her head sideways, and parted her lips to speak.
“Heather hospital” She choked on her tears.
Darby was the first person to sprang up when echo walked into the ward. Her eyes were very red from so much crying, and her skin looked pale.
“What are you doing here you witçh??” Darby nearly charged at her, but Heaven and Nevaeh stopped her.
“This isn’t the right time to display your mádness mum, dad just diéd, remember??” Heaven spat angríly, and what followed was a slap. She held her stinging cheeks and ran out of the room in tears.
“Father!” Echo rushed to the bed in tears and hugged him tightly. She tried lifting him up, but he fell back on the bed immediately.
There were no pipes connected to him, and the machine wasn’t beeping anymore. She hugged him to herself, and let all the tears she’s been trying to hold, fall freely.
“Dad! You promised to not leave me! You promised to buy me ice-cream when i get back from school. Why did you lié to me??. Why did you have leave me! You were my only source of joy! You always made me happy!!” Echo sighed heavily, letting her head drop. The doctor in charge walked in, shaking his head as he watched the horrible scene.
“Am sorry, but he didn’t make it. He just kicked the bucket. You have to be calm… please ma’am” He said, as he walked over to robert’s déad body and covered it with the sheets.
“Dad!!!!!!” Echo cried loudly, hugging his body tightly.
….PRESENT
“You know how much i love you, you know i can’t do without you anymore……Dad!!!!!!!!!” Echo bent down and broke into tears, she was shaking as she wrapped her arms around her body, crying her eyes out.
…..NIGHT: AURORA’S APARTMENT

The door bell chimed, interrupting her best part of the sing. Aurora hissed in anger, she reduced the volume of the music and then dropped the bottle on the center table, before walking towards the door.
She opened the door, only to meet carolina standing there, with her hands wrapped under her bréast. She rolled her eyes and ushered her to come in, but carolina declined her offer.
“I didn’t come here for us to kiss and make up. I came to do two things, before leaving your life forever” Carolina scowled, handing her a white envelope, with the word “Resignation Letter“ written above it.
“You’re going to ruin your dreams, because of that simple mistake i made. C’mon stop being childish. Well… i won’t stop you from quitting. What’s the second thing you have to do??” Aurora snatched the paper from her and rubbed her eyes sleepily.
“This…” Carolina yelled, and before aurora could understand the difference between one and two, she pounced on her.
Carolina massaged her face with several slaps, she pulled her hair roughly, almost removing it from her scalp.
“Ahh….” Aurora cried out, as she began to see the gates of héll. Her head began to spin, and she couldn’t fight back because she was drunk.
Carolina didn’t even give a damn…she just kept verging out all her anger. That was the only way she could heal the pain in her heart.
“This is for shattering my dreams…” She landed her a deafening slap, that aurora couldn’t hear anything again. “And this is for deceiving me…for sleeping with my man….and for ruining my life!!!” Carolina sneered, and landed another slap on her cheeks and aurora passed out immediately.
Carolina got off her, and dusted her hands.
“My job here is done…” She smirked and walked out of the house, slamming the door behind her.
….FRANCISCO’S CONDO: 2AM
Francisco laid on his bed, staring into space as an image kept appearing in his head. He slapped himself twice on the cheek, and closed his eyes.
“Why do i keep thinking about her?? That dumbie is making me so confused…” He trailed off, giving in to sleep.
….TWO DAYS LATER: ROYAL BRIDGES HIGH SCHOOL
Echo walked through the crowded hallway, with her head bent down and her hands around her backpacks straps. Blinded by sadness and confusion, she wasn’t focusing on the direction she was taking.
She suddenly bumped into C.S.A.
“Hey! Watch it bitçh!!!” Capricorn yelled and made to hit her, but her hands stopped in mid-air. She turned, only to see a girl glaring at her.
She was wearing one of her faded baggy jeans and black crop-top. Since black was her favourite colour, she topped it with black boots.
