I quickly let go of the plate as grandma walked closer to us.
“What’s going on here?” Grandma asked as I smiled broadly holding Arianna’s waist.
Arianna pecked my cheeks softly.
“Oh good morning grandma” I said with a smile.
“Good morning granny…” Arianna snapped.
“Uhm…. Good morning,,,, I thought I heard you guys quarreling? ” Grandma furrowed her eyebrows.
We gulped hard.
“Quarreling?” I asked with a puzzled look.
“Yes… You were both exchanging words earlier… Weren’t you?” Grandma asked as I freezed.
“Of course not grandma…. It was just honeymoon argument…. Like lovers quarrel” Arianna covered up immediately.
Grandma smiled broadly.
“Oh you guys are so sweet… You remind me of my early days with my husband before he died” She said with a chuckle.
Arianna and I smiled broadly as we held hands with each other.
“You know grandma… My wife here is the most perfect queen in my life” I said as grandma laughed.
“Aww… Am happy you guys are happy” Grandma said as we shared a laugh.
“Alright… Here I just came over to bring these remaining foodstuffs and grocery” Grandma said as Arianna took it from her.
“Thank you so much grandma” I said
“Won’t you like to join us for breakfast?” Arianna said as grandma smiled excitedly as she patted her hair softly.
“Oh thank you my daughter… I would have loved to but I have an urgent meeting to go to this morning and I want you both to enjoy your honeymoon since you guys refused to travel to Paris for honeymoon” Granny said as we nodded.
“Goodbye granny” We chorused as Arianna followed her to the door before slamming the door behind grandma.
Arianna walked in heaving a sigh of relief.
“My food?” I said as she sneered.
“Tell that to the birds” She said as I stared at her in anger.
“Oh man… Am so jealous of you right now! I mean you’re married so no more night colds for you” Jim said as he playfully hit me.
I sighed loudly.
“I wish it’s as cool as you talk about it” I rolled my eyes.
“Whatever! Have you talked to the attorney?” Albert asked anxiously.
“You know I feel so frustrated right now…. I can’t believe this,,,, the so called attorney told me that for me to get the money I’ll have to be married for at least 21 days” I said as I refilled the glass with some wine.
“Why do you sound like 21 days is 21 years?” Jim asked anxiously.
“You guys don’t get it… That girl is nothing but a bunch of trouble,,, living with her is hell” I snorted
“You mean Arianna?” Albert asked
“Who else? I can’t wait for 21 days to elapse so that she can fvck off” I said in annoyance.
“Damn!! Can’t you see she’s curvy? Why would you want to leave such a beautiful lady?” Albert cut in.
I shook my head and scoffed in disbelief.
“You guys just don’t understand… We do not even sit beside each other talk more of sleeping together” I said.
“Wow… This is ridiculous’ They chorused as I sighed tiredly.
“You mean you haven’t flushed out for the past two days?” Jim laughed.
“Man am so fvcking horny…” I muttered under my breath.
“What are we waiting for? Let’s go clubbing then” Albert said as we jumped in excitement.
“Let’s go guys” I screamed as we clinked our glasses together in merriment.

I dialed my mother’s number as I sat on the bouncy bed.
“Hello Arianna…..” Mother shouted in excitement immediately she picked the call.
Tears of joy welled down my chubby cheeks.
“Oh mother… I missed you so much” I said as I wiped off my tears with my fist.
“We miss you too” Mother, Bibi and Laila screamed out of my phone’s speaker.
“What about Miguel mother?” I asked as mother breathed heavily.
“He’s just there….drinking, gambling and misbehaving as usual” Mother sighed as I quickly changed the topic.
“Just don’t let Miguel worry you mother…. Have you gotten the money I sent you?” I asked
“Oh child… Thank you so much for the money,,,, it was so huge” Mother said happily.
“It’s nothing mother! I just want you guys to be happy” I said
“Please do take good care of yourself there my daughter” Mother said with a teary voice.
“I sure will mother! I’ll talk to you later” I said as I hung up.
I kissed my phone screen in excitement.
I really missed them so badly including my girlfriend Gloria.

I paced around the room impatiently as I kept glancing at the wall clock.
I walked closer to the window and opened the curtains peeping outside.
It was 11:36pm already and that good for nothing Bryan is not yet back.
Why am I even concerned?
I should be sleeping but I just can’t and I wonder why.
I was becoming restless.
“Where could he be?” I scratched my head.
……………. I waited and waited and waited but there was no sign of him.
I dozed off on the couch inside the room while waiting for him.
But I jerked up from sleep when I heard a car horn.
I quickly walked to the window and peeped from the curtains.
Bryan’s car drove into the duplex.
I was about to go back to the bed when the car’s other door opened.
“Who could that be?” I thought.
