Smiles escaped my lips….
But how did the ring get back into my finger?
Did he put it there?
“But where is he?” I asked no-one in particular since I was the only one in the room.
I sighted his wrist watch on the edge of the bed.
I smiled broadly as I picked up the watch and kept it in the closet.
Does this mean that he has forgiven me?
I exhaled heavily.
I just hope he has but am really worried….
It’s been long since he left and I haven’t seen him since then.
How do I know how he’s fairing when my phone’s battery is dead.
I scratched my head in confusion.
Just then,,, I heard the doorbell ring loudly.
“That must be” I shook my head as I quickly sprang up and swing the door open.
“Bryan you are….” I said as I threw the door open and I quickly shut up in disappointment.
“Ooh…. Good day!” I said with a gloomy face.
It was actually one of the inmates here.
“Good day miss… Here is an invitation card for you and your partner in today’s round table together dinner” He said as he handed a card to me.
“Okay… Thank you!” I said as I took the card.
“Have a nice day ma’am” He said as I shut the door.
“Tch….” I tut rolling my eyes as I sat on the couch beside the bed.
I unwrapped the wrapped card.
“Dinner party” I smiled.
🌺 Marvin's POV: 🌺
I paced around impatiently waiting for Arianna.
“She’s supposed to be here by now! What could be keeping her?” I asked myself as I tapped my feet impatiently.
I brought my phone out and dialed her number..
“Switched off? Is her battery dead or something?” I thought inwardly.
I looked at the bunch of flowers I dropped on the stool beside me.
I really can’t wait to tell her how I feel about her.
She’s married…. Yes but that doesn’t matter!
There is still annulment right?
They can divorce for us to get married….
I can’t let her go for anything not after I find my missing rib.
“Am here already Mr Marvin” I heard a familiar voice from behind and quickly turned around.
It was Bryan!
Cold shivers ran down my spine….

I drove in my car burning up in annoyance.
I got down at the venue and walked towards him cos I saw him from afar pacing around.
“Jerk….” I muttered under my breath as I marched forward.
Am so ready for anything!
I will make sure I teach him a lesson of his life….
That he will never ever forget in a hurry.
“Am here already Mr Marvin” I said he quickly turned around.
He was obviously stunned!
“You?” He almost yelped and I smirked at him walking gently around him.
“Yes… Me….” I said
“What are you doing here?” He asked in surprise.
“Really? Is that how you welcome someone who you booked an appointment with?” I laughed
“I can’t remember booking an appointment with you” He said as I grinned.
“But you booked an appointment with my wife” I snapped as he gulped hard.
“But that’s with your wife not you” He replied
“I and my wife are one and the same” I chuckled.
“You saw the text message?” he asked in surprise.
“Actually she never did” I said.
“Please I don’t want to trouble… Stay away from me cos I have no business with you” He said and I laughed heartily.
“You should have thought of that before asking someone else’s wife out” I said as I folded my shirt.
He stared at me in fear.
“What are you doing?” He asked
“You’ll see” I said as I quickly landed a punch on his cheek.
He landed on the ground as he was off balance.
Before he could say a word,,, I already released several punches on his face and blood oozed out of his nostril.
We rolled on each other on the ground punching and kicking each other.
I knocked on the door and the door swing open as Arianna saw me.
I walked into the room not wanting her to see my bloody face.
“Where have you been Bryan? I’ve been so worried sick and…” She said but she quickly kept mute on seeing my bleeding nostrils and sore fist.
She widened her eyes in shock.
“What happened to you?” She cried out running into my arms as I smiled within myself…..
