“Who could that be? Mother and my little siblings have all gone to bed” I thought inwardly as I tiptoed outside.

It was my useless elder brother Miguel.

He was back and as usual drunk….

All he does is steal, gamble and drink around… Lazing around all day.

He staggered to the couch and fell on it heavily.

I sighed and shook my head as I locked the door properly before going back to bed or should I say going back to crying.

I rubbed my eyes tiredly as I yawned.

I gradually opened my eyes.

The alarm clock beeped and I turned it off….

I saw the stupid slut still lying on my bed like a piece of wood.

I pushed her roughly as she opened her eyes

“Good morning” She said with a smile.

I opened the drawer and threw the money at her..

She furrowed her brows looking very confused.

“I don’t want to see you here again” I said sternly and walked away.

Seems like she knows how the whole things go,,,,, she left immediately.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen yawning hungrily.

I quickly took a packet of crackers and munched it.

My cell phone rang aloud.

It was my friend Albert…..

“Hello man….” I said

“There’s a big problem….. Actually you owe some people about about 5 million dollars last night and they are asking for it” He said as I gasped.

“Owing some people?? When?” I asked almost at the same time.

“Were you that drunk last night? You gamble and then you loose and….” He said as I recalled everything.

I threw the glass of juice in my hand on the ground and it shattered.

“Fvck…… What do I do now??” I said as I quickly hung up the call.

That’s such a huge amount of money.

I scratched my head in confusion.

“What are we gonna do?” Albert broke the silence.

“Did you just say we? Of course this is Bryan’s cross to carry” Jim said as I eyed him angrily.

“Gosh… You’re so unbelievable Jim… Be serious for once” I said still lost in thought

“What were you thinking when you agreed to play with such people?” Jim fired back

“He was drunk Jim…. We were all drunk and you know it” Albert defended

“But I warned him last night but he refused” Jim said as I gulped nervously.

“I really need to think of something” I said

“Why not ask your dad for some cash?” Jim suggested.

I boiled in anger as I shot him a dangerous glare.

He knows how much I hate talking about that stupid man they call my dad.

“Shut up Jim! ” I freaked out

“Fine…. Sorry guys” He said as he shrugged

“How about you talk to your grandma?” Albert said as I forced a smile.

“She would want to know why I needed the money and I can’t think of any possible lie to tell her” I said as suddenly my cell phone rang aloud.

It was my grandma calling.

“Hey… What’s up granny?” I said trying to hide my mood.

“Happy birthday once again son” She said as I smiled broadly.

“Thank you grandma” I said as I giggled

“Hope you’ve met the family lawyer right?” She asked me as I arched my eyebrows.

“What for?” I asked anxiously

“You are of age now Bryan….. So you can get the family inheritance of about 200 million dollars” Grandma said as my jaw dropped in shock.

“Really grandma? Two hundred million dollars?” I asked almost screaming.

My friends stared at me in astonishment.

“Yes son! You can go to the attorney for the paper signing… That’s by the way,,,,Nadia and I will be coming back soon” She said as I danced in happiness.

I quickly hung up and screamed in delight.

“What happened dude?” They asked anxiously

“I just won a jackpot,,,,, do you know I own 200 million dollars?” I asked as they gasped.

I walked straight to the attorney’s office with my friends behind me.

“Sign them Mr Adams” He said as I quickly picked up the pen and signed the papers.

I can’t wait to be given my cool cash.

“Where is the money Mr attorney?” I asked impatiently.

“First you will have to answer the following questions l” He said as we exchanged glances at each other.

“Are you married and never told us?” Jim whispered as I pushed him off.

“Yes Mr Bryan….. You need to be married before you can have the money” He said as my eyes widened in shock.
